He went to Albuquerque, New Mexico with Paul and they both founded a new company called Microsoft to mass produce their new software (Leaders of Info 2).
Although the two of them did amazing things with their company one of the arguably biggest things Microsoft did was launch Windows 95, says Dean Evans, from Techradar. With this launch, they bundled MS-DOS inside windows, which also came preinstalled with Internet Explorer. With this launch the product was flying off the shelves as it was becoming a home and user friendly computer along with improvements to the business workers who used this computer. With the pre-installed Internet Explorer, many people became very upset and called Microsoft “non-competitive” for other web browsers such as Netscape. Gates quickly became the richest man in the world in 1995 (after the Windows 95 launch) and has continued to grow his wealth. Gates stepped down in working for Microsoft in 2008 to focus more on his philanthropy and is currently the wealthiest man on the planet with a net worth of 87.3 billion
