On October 15th, 1842, Marx became editor of the Rheinische Zeitung. He was required to write many editorials from a variety of social issues. He also wrote about the new phenomenon of communism ("Marx, Karl", Grolier).

Karl Marx was one of sociology greatest thinkers and philosophers, one of his most famous pieces of work was das kapitial which has been linked heavily as a first part of the volume for the working class, although Marx did not live to see his ideas on communism happen. however, his writings did go on to form the base of modern communism (bbc history),

Karl Marx was a German philosopher who created an ideology called Marxism. Marxism later on was used to help develop the ideology we know today as communism. Karl Marx was famously known as a socialist revolutionist which later on caused him to be expelled from Germany and France. He moved to London where he wrote “The Communist Manifesto” and “Das Kapital” which explained his ideology.

The most faithful believer and crusader in the movement was Friedrich Engels. His writing entitled “The Condition of The Working Class in England” reflects why the Manifesto was needed during this difficult time. The royalties from Engles’ book “The Condition of the Working Class in England” were given to Marx, because he was ordered to deport from France. His radical ideas and socialist ways were no longer accepted or allowed by the French Government. Together Marx and Engels moved to Belgium, and formed an alliance, battling the poverty and discrimination of all those whose sweat and hard labor went without rewarded. Together they made an excellent team for as one history says, “It was a good partnership, whereas Marx was at his best when dealing with difficult abstract concepts, Engels had the ability to write for a mass audience.” Throughout Engels life as an apostle to Marx, he was forced to move from country to country. Marx and his ideas reflected in The Communist Manifesto influenced Engels so greatly that he devoted his life to editing and recording the theories and wisdom of Marx. Socialism and equality became his life long pursuit until he died on August 5th 1895. Even though Marx and Engles had passed on the influence of the Manifesto and either other great writings lived on to dramatically change the world.

On May 5, 1818, Karl Heinrich Marx was born in Trier, Prussia (modern day Trier, Germany) to Heinrich and Henrietta Marx. Throughout Karl’s schooling years, he was considered to be an ordinary student and did not take school seriously. In 1835, Marx began his college career at the University of Bonn, a college known for their rebellious students and wild parties. All too quickly, Marx was swept into this lifestyle and was imprisoned within a year for being drunk. Once released from jail, Karl’s father took action. He withdrew Karl from the University of Bonn and enrolled him at the University of Berlin, a college known for their serious studies. Marx studied law and philosophy as well as received a new glimpse of philosophy.

One of the greatest philosophies from the 19th century was Karl Marx. The German native born May 5 1818 was known for his works as not only a philosopher but an economist, journalist revolutionary socialist and sociologist. Marx’s different varieties of work influenced his understanding of society and and the economy during his time period. Once Marx got older, he moved to London England where he progressed his ideas and even collaborate with Friedrich Engels with whom he published numerous works. Marx’s most well known piece of work is The Communist Manifesto, which discusses his theories about society, economics and politics , together known as Marxism. Through this pamphlet, it highlights the problem of oppression the working class faces. Has a large effect on the revolution following its publication. Became a foundation for organizations, influenced other radicals and subsequently influx and Communist literature. This specific piece of work not only shocked the society during this time but educated people on the system they were living in.

Marx’s contact with Hegelian philosophy in college changed his perception on social and economic classes in society and inspired him to pursue the idea of socialism further in college despite his father’s wishes. While in college, Marx had begun studying law and had planned to become a lawyer. At the University, there were many who had preached the ideas of Hegel, but Marx turned away at first, not wanting to lose his father’s support and funding

Karl Marx was a philosopher, economist and a socialist. He grew up in a middle class family in Germany. He is one of the most important people in the history mostly due to his ideas that people refer to as Marxism, which includes many essays and theories about politics and economics. His most famous work is called Manifesto of the Communist party. In this manuscript, along with his friend Friedrich Engels, he states that the best way for a society to develop is through a revolution and struggle in which the working class will rise against the bourgeoisie or the ruling class. They both believed that the damages that a capitalist way of life brings will ultimately lead to a revolution that paves the way for a socialist way of organizing resources and production. This manifest also describes the problems of a capitalist nation and how it allows the working class to suffer. Marxism inspired many political movements such as those in Russia and China. Capital: Critique of Political Economy is also one of Marx’s most notable works which states the many flaws of capitalism and its ties to workers and property rights. Capital proves to be Marx’s stance against classical economists. Classical economists were in support of capitalism and believed that people have the right to own land for their personal gain. Marx believed that people should own all the production aspects of a society collectively. Communism and capitalism do not fit together in a society and this battle of ideologies
