I have been hoping to join ViperBots for a long time now, and if I am fortunate enough to receive this opportunity, there are many things I aim to get out of it. I hope to work with intelligent and hard-working people who have interests similar to mine, to take part in serious competition, and to improve my teamwork, creativity, and programming skills. I also hope to expand my knowledge on the different aspects of engineering that I learned and enjoyed in Gateway. I enjoy learning and applying programming languages and have made several programs using Javascript, HTML, and CSS. Currently, I am learning Python through an online course so that in the future I can easily learn BioPython when I have a career in Bioinformatics. My chosen …show more content…

My strongest coding language as of now is Java, as I have taken two college level courses that were based on it. In these two courses, I have done several programming assignments, but the project I was most proud to work on was a Java program that solves chess puzzles. The professor showed us how to solve chess puzzles recursively by constructing a game tree. I

I believe that I will succeed in the Wheeler Magnet Program because of my strong interest in STEM, experience in Dodgen’s Science Olympiad Team, and personal achievements. I am very interested in the Wheeler Magnet Program as it will further challenge my intelligence and allow me to excel in the future.
Since fourth grade, I’ve been recognized as a GT student, which stands for gifted and talented. I’ve been selected to participate in the Congress of Future Science and Technology Leaders summer program and the National Youth Leadership Forum for National Security, Diplomacy, Intelligence, and Defense. My school district has selected me to attended SA-PREP (Prefreshman Engineering Program) for the past four summers. Each of those summers have been spent at San Antonio local colleges such as Northwest Vista College, Texas A&M San Antonio, St. Mary’s University, and University of Texas San Antonio (UTSA). PREP is a two-month summer seminar and is a STEM
I would love to attend Wake STEM Early College High School because I believe it will give me a head start on my learning after the high school level. Your program will improve my college experience and save thousands of dollars in college tuition by giving me an associates degree and high school diploma upon graduation. I am also exceedingly interested in a career in science or mathematics. I have always been focused on learning science and math because it is something I love to do and I can have a successful career in the future by using those skills. I understand that attending this prestigious school will require a certain level of maturity and willingness to work hard. As an 8th grader at West Lake Middle School, I am a member of the National
Joe CEO application, my work ethic was one of my strengths. Throughout high school, my work ethic has improved and has been rewarded academically and in my part-time job. I have achieved the G.P.A that I set for myself as well as being inducted into the National Honor Society. During high school, I set the goal to maintain a G.P.A. of at least 3.5 or higher in the hope of attending a challenging college. I have achieved this goal while taking difficult courses, playing basketball, and working. In my sophomore year, I took Algebra 2 and Geometry at the same time as taking Chemistry. Choosing to double up on my math classes is allowing me to take Calculus my senior year. During my junior year, I took at least one dual credit class and an honors/AP class. During my junior year, my initiative and work ethic were recognized by my acceptance into the National Honor Society. In addition to my rigorous schedule, I have been working at least fifteen hours a week. At my job, I have been a reliable and dedicated worker without needing much

I desire acceptance into Virginia Space Coast Scholars (VSCS) Program to expand my knowledge horizons, and to take advantage of this learning opportunity. As a VSCS participant, I would gain experience in significant fields of study affecting the world in which we live. In junction with the great prestige of this program it would help me in my application for college, and it will enrich my overall education. I believe that I will be successful given that I have the am a fast learner. My core strengths academically, are Math and Science without a doubt. Technology has become more integrated in the lives of society. These are all reasons why a student such as I would find it necessary to be adept with these instruments of the digital age. I present myself as a strong candidate due to the fact that I would be motivated and excel as hands-on, kinesthetic learning teaches with exceptional results.
I am genuinely honored to be one of the few students considered for acceptance to the State College Area High School chapter of the National Honor Society. I feel that my hard work and dedication in academics is beginning to show through. Throughout my life, I have shown drive and devotion for everything in which I have been involved, ranging from athletics to academics. My mentality has always been focused on helping others. I have always succeeded in all of my courses with high marks, earning a place in the National Honor Society. I have been in accelerated English, math, and science since eighth grade and took my first Advanced Placement course in tenth grade. Midway through tenth grade, I made the decision to graduate early considering my senior year would be very minimal in course work. To graduate early, I took economics independently last spring and challenged the U.S History and Government course. I am currently taking thirteen credits in college courses and going on clinical rotations three times a week in the hospital through the New Vision Medical Program.
Last year, I received a commendable G.P.A of 4.4. This proves that I not only take difficult courses like Honors and Ap classes, but also contribute great amount of hard work and dedication to overcome those challenges and succeed. Other than my transcript, I received man recognition for my academic achievements. I attended many Honor Rolls and received Academic Letter Award every year. In addition, I also participated in competitions, like Junior Math Leagues, Science Fair, and NHD(National History Day), to test my knowledge in academics. I competed in the Science Fair and won first place in school division. In NHD, I have received first place in school, district, and state competition. By participating in these competition, it motivates me to strive higher. Lastly, I am a member of NAHS(National Art Honor Society), NSHS(National Spanish Honor Society), NMHS(National Math Honor Society), and Tri M Music Honor Society. This demonstrates my high interest and excellence in all four subjects: Art, Spanish, Math, and
Throughout Middle School and High School, I have won multiple Academic Honors and was able to partake in a Leadership Group/Camp. In Middle School, I was Honored as the best student in Reading, won many A-Honor Rolls, a few A/B-Honor rolls, and multiple Perfect Attendance Awards. In 8th grade, I was chosen along with many other students to help mentor the 6th graders moving up to the middle school and from there on I became part of a group called “Michigan Middle Leadership Initiative (MMLI)”, where only 10 students were selected to join. Currently, I have maintained a GPA of 3.89 or higher and I’m taking an Advanced Placement course for Environmental Science. Overall, I have a good attendance record and have never been tardy for class before. At the most, I’ll miss about 2 days of school in a trimester if I become ill.
During high school I participated in many activities that I believe will help me achieve my goals. I have taken advanced STEM classes, competed in programming
