Failure is in utter abundance throughout humanity. Failure justifies a cause of change, to alter defeat we received for our own betterment. As being a human being, I have experienced failure by the sheer lack of understanding the methodology of the blue abyss: the ocean. I was a wee lad, under the age of eight when I fought the endless beast. It was a vacation, occasions typically used to celebrate the prosperity and successes of a family. Our vacation was to a beach teeming with an abundance of life. Swallows of people suffocated the sand, while the ocean offered it's vast entity to the people. I looked into the ocean, boy to man, and wanted to conqueror the waves. I seized my surfboard, a device constructed to ride the vicious waves of a
Gentile waves roll in as sea gulls call out together creating a rhythm of steady breathing. During the introduction of his song entitled Blue Ocean Floor, Justin Timberlake painted this serene seashore scene. Leading listeners to a new place, the instrumentals made a background breathing sound that continued throughout the song, resulting in an overall feeling of anticipation. As the subject of anticipation, Justin Timberlake sung of a couple whose love seemed hopeless on the outside due to their surroundings but found a way to love each other forever. Justin Timberlake wrote this song in the second person, and brought a new level of meaning to it by singing solo with only loops to support him. It seemed
When I look at the word failure I didn’t see success. But that slowly changed as I read the book What the Best College Students Do by Ken Bain Chapter four. Bain, for me and I’m sure many other, have changed our view point on failure being a bad thing. He instead expressed failure as an “opportunity to learn something.” (121) As infants we grow and develop, we learn to walk by falling down a couple hundred times, and we learn to speak by babbling. By trying to walk, and trying to talk, we may fail at first. As an infant, you cannot give up when you are face to face with failure. You must get up and try again to learn. In the book, What the Best College Students Do by Ken Bain he uses people’s experiences and research to explain why failure is an opportunity to learn something new, rather than seeing failure as something bad. He asserts “people who become highly creative and productive learn to acknowledge failures, even to embrace them, and to explore and learn from them.” (100) Failure is important. If we did not get up and try again as infants, we would not be where we are today.
To begin with, if I was currently an advocate for the environment and animals I would first focus on the Orcas, or killer whales, at theme parks, specifically Sea World. First of all, Sea World is inhumane. Five of the Orcas currently at sea world were “whale-napped” from the oceans they called home. For example, Tilikum, one of the most know whales in the Sea World franchise, is now thirty-two years old. He was captured at the age of two by, which means he has been in captivity for thirty years. And, before anyone says Tilikum was injured so they “rescued” him I want to say that it is fact that Tilikum was not injured. He was taken from his family and confined to a tiny tank just so people could make a hefty profit. Also, if the Orcas are
Failure is a difficult concept for many people to accept because it is hard to understand what failure exactly is. The idea of failure can be seen in the concluding chapters of The Great Gatsby when Gatsby fails to achieve his dream of being with Daisy. The issue of failure exists within all people whether they are successful or not. The issue of dealing with failure is a difficult hurdle to overcome for many reasons, which includes ideas
The way in which failure has been viewed has changed over the centries. As early as ancient Athens, we have seen records of how failure is seen from time-to-time and society-to-society. Just them as a comparative to our society recognizes the cultural difference as well as the time gap between how we perceive defeat. For instance, Athens used plays to communicate that failing at something was okay and that we needed to show sympathy and helpfulness to those going through a rough time. Whereas today, as seen in many cases, dropping out of something, or even not succeeding is failure; you must do well in something to be respected. In the three sources presented, recordly, this is the case. Each source reviewed and discussed the art of failing as something more than just one mistake, that it is many complied onto each other causing, as we see it, catastrophe. In all three sources, they discusses success and failure seen in today’s society, which were then analyzed through agreement/overlap and disagreement.
The deep sea is home to many fascinating creatures that have yet to be explored by scientists for their features. These creatures can be seen as special for the way they are able to survive in the extreme sea environments. Three species, in particular, have interested scientists for their own unique ways of adapting: the giant squid, the zombie worm, and the yeti crab. Their ways of adaptations allow them to survive in the intense deep sea environments.
Failure can strengthen a person by trying harder the next time they face an event or fear, or even just anything.
Failure is just another step of being successful. Of all people in the world, one by one,we all fail. Although some use this as an advantage to become more successful in life.
The Invisible Sea is a student-driven organization that is working to mitigate and bring awareness to the largest upcoming environmental disaster of the 21st century in the U.S. They plan on helping to stop the pollution that is coming from the Salton Sea. The salton Sea is getting drier and as it is there are harmful chemicals that are staying in the dirt and when it gets windy the harmful chemicals are coming to the Coachella Valley and we are breathing in this harmful chemical.
Have you or anyone you know ever wonder how the ocean got made or how it was created. Or if you have ever wondered what animals live in the ocean. Well this is the paper you are looking for. I will tell you about man eating monster beasts that live in the ocean. I also will tell you everything you need to know about the history of the ocean. If you are interested in this kind of stuff and you want to learn about the beasts and the history of the ocean well you better start reading.
Everyone experiences multiple failures, both big and small, during their lifetime. At any given point in life, a person can point out what they think was their biggest failure. That perspective will continue to change as they grow older and hopefully wiser. I’m still young, so I’m reasonably sure I haven’t experienced my biggest failure yet, but one big failure I made dramatically changed my outlook on life. Although some people might view this event as more of an unfortunate accident than anything else, I still consider the experience a failure to learn from.
The ocean is not just where the ocean covers the land but on the seafloor to. The oceans have been around for hundreds of millions of years. The real questions are, how did the ocean come to be, and was it the key reason for the creation of life. There are many theories for life and all creation but first we need to understand what really triggered the world and its creation to create.
Failure is something that we cannot go through life without experiencing. The best thing about failure is that failure can be used as a great learning experience to improve upon things in our lives and career. Using failure as a learning tool is dependent upon the person and how they view it as well as how they use it. Failure is a matter of perspective and the lessons in failure are important aspects towards growth and development. If we did not experience failure there wouldn’t be opportunities for learning. Failure can teach us about ourselves as well as provide an understanding for our
Traditionally, failure is seen as a negative concept and is defined as lacking success. I, on the other hand, try to put a positive spin on everything in life. I see failure as an obstacle that is experienced by all, but it does not define an individual. Failure in essence will force an individual to be more receptive to their surroundings and actions and also will force an individual to mature. Looking back on my childhood years I can now pinpoint the areas where I failed and I can confidently say that I have grown and prospered due to those failures. The three major failures I have experienced were my attention deficit issues which affected my ability to succeed in school, my anti-social habit that I let consume my early years, and my
We have all experienced failure in our lives one way or another, but that's just a part of everyday living, but failure may be one of the most important things that we as humans can encounter. Failure is something you can learn from, can motivate you to succeed and can allow us to teach others based on our own experiences.
