Owner John Farkas grew up in a small town of 8,000 people in Southern IL called West Frankfort. John took on his first personal training client in the summer of 2002 right out of high school. From there he continued personal training throughout college to help cover the cost of bills. The timing worked well and in December 2006, the day before his college graduation, John took his first full time job as a personal trainer in Carbondale, IL. He stayed with that company for 2 years before

At the time, he was reading a book titled, “Blue Ocean Strategy”. Several of the key thoughts in the book lined up with his values and beliefs in how a business should operate. The more he thought about the business he was trying to create, the more he believed in the customer centric business model that Blue Ocean Strategy talked about. When it came time to deciding on a name for the gym, Blue Ocean Fitness seemed like an appropriate fit.

Has it ever occurred to you that there is another world among us? Beneath the deep blue sea is a vast landscape with plants and animals abundant. These animals are constantly forced to adapt to survive, showing just how strong and resilient they are. Three of these, however, stand out from the rest with features that allow them to survive in the harshest conditions.
SeaWorld. We’ve all heard of it. First the spectacular shows and mesmerising performances of marine animal and men. Then the truth; years later. The torture of animals and the small confinement that these animals have been forced to live in, Orcas that were “...confined to a tank containing 0.0001 percent of the quantity of water that he would traverse in a single day in nature.” High death rates and big behavioural changes in the animals that have never been seen in the wild. Several that have caused death of other animals and humans.
She was forty when SeaWorld killed her. Dawn Brancheau took blunt force trauma to the head, neck, and torso before drowning. The SeaWorld trainer died doing what she loved, which was interacting with orcas. The killer whale, Tilikum, attacked her.
The majority of the business press often confuses business strategies with business models. For example, a firm like Kickstarter or Amazon will be known as a new economy company employing a distinctive business model, when both firms have simply restructured existing business models for the digital era. Where companies like Kickstarter and Amazon shattered the competition is in their strategies, not their business models.
To start off with, getting out of the car after a twelve hour car ride is the best feeling in world. When I got out of the car the first thing I noticed where how many people there were and how salty it smelt. It's so salty around the beach you could even taste the salt in the air. Newport Beach is one of the most famous beaches around California so there's tons of people. Everyone is doing something from swimming in the cold dark blue ocean, to getting a tan, or even playing spikeball everyone is enjoying their day at the extremely hot beach. When wanting to jump into the water you have to run across the hot gold metallic sand. Right before you jump into the chilly water your parents make you apply

The blue whale is the largest animal ever to have lived on Earth; it is larger than any of the dinosaurs. The biggest recorded blue whale was a female in the Antarctic Ocean that was 30.5 m long (more than 3.5 times the length of a double-decker bus and as long as a Boeing 737 plane) with an estimated weight of 144 tonnes (almost the same as 2,000 men). The tongue alone of a blue whale can weigh as much as an elephant and an entire football team could stand on it!

In the Blue Ocean, main would be to create an uncontested market space for Relaxo and make the competition, as observed in Red Ocean, irrelevant. The effectiveness of strategy would be solely an outcome of Value Innovation and at the same time how the risk has been analyzed. After SWOT analysis and Red Ocean strategy analysis we found that although the company is making profit but still this industry is about to reach its saturation and market share growth is about to stagnant. Most of the market offerings are based on either the differentiation or the Low cost. Relaxo needs to take some bold move to breakout of the boundaries of Red Ocean by achieving both the differentiation and the low cost offerings for the noncustomers.

Authors W. Chan Kim and Renee Mauborgne are both professors of strategy at INSEAD Business School, France, and are both Fellows of the World Economic Forum. They both have an established presence in the world of academics and business, so they can be considered an authority on strategic and business planning. First published in 2005, Blue Ocean Strategy introduced a new way of creating market space. Kim and Mauborgne proposed that the market could be divided into two categories: blue oceans and red oceans. In a red ocean, everything is known, the rules are laid out and the boundaries clearly defined. In a blue ocean, the competition becomes irrelevant as businesses forge into the untapped potential of the market creating their own space. This book revolutionized how businesses thought about strategic and business planning.
