Versatile race car driver Bryan Clauson has died from injuries suffered in an accident at the Belleville Midget Nationals USAC midget race. Clauson was competing in the Belleville Midget Nationals, his 116th race of the year when he was involved in a fatal accident. The 27-year-old race car driver has sustained fatal injuries while racing at the Belleville Nationals midget race in Belleville, Kansas on Saturday. According to the sprint car racing sanctioning body United States Auto Club, Clauson was leading the race at that time and about to overtake a backmarker when he crashed while passing lapped traffic. Clauson’s car rolled and was hit by another competitor, sending, Clauson's car flipping and eventually sliding down the banked track.
