Sitting Bull was a kind and compassionate man that had admiration for the Lakota tribe and the tribe's land, and was also known to have led the Lakota tribe to safety during the many years of defiance against the new American policies. Recognized and admired by the Lakota tribe, Sitting Bull was one of the most famous Native American Chiefs who was known for his bravery to bring fair treatment to his people.

Pit bulls are the most misunderstood dog breeds in the world. When people hear the word pit bull they automatically think of dogs fighting and attacking. When people say "pit bull" they're usually referring to a range of breeds and, often, a mixed-breed dog. Sitting Bull was born in Dakota Territory. He was named Jumping Badger at birth, when he was fourteen years old he accompanied a group of Lakota warriors (which included his father and his uncle Four Horns) in a raiding party to take horses from a camp of Crow warriors. Jumping Badger displayed bravery by riding forward and counting coup on one of the surprised Crow, which was witnessed by the other mounted Lakota. Upon returning to camp his father gave a celebratory feast at which he conferred his own name upon his son.

Sitting Bull’s first name given to him was Jumping Badger. Later his name was changed “Tatanka-Iyotanka.” This is a term that describes a buffalo bull sitting on its back haunches showing aggression and its reluctance to back down. The Cow Cavalry were small militia groups formed to protect the inner part of Florida. The small groups were made up of ranchers and cowhands. Union soldiers would hold raids to capture the cattle and the Navy union would conduct raids across the coast to destroy the salt works plants, and eventually capture or force the abandonment of Fort Myers. The whole point of the Cow Cavalry was to protect the cattle, salt works, and small towns in south Florida.

Cesar Millan who has his own show on Nat Geo Wild called Cesar 911 works and owns his own pit bulls. He has had a dog named daddy who was raised with Cesar since 4 months old. Cesar had a large pack of dogs so it made daddy well socialized and never aggressive with other dogs. Daddy with two small boys of Cesar’s laying and sleeping on daddy he got the best play time with his kids and was calm and soft with Cesar’s kids. If other dogs were being mean to him he would just walk away and not start anything(Millan). With that in mind I feel that pit bulls are misunderstood and can be very good pets if raised with the correct and proper training. These dogs might look mean and aggressive If the dog is trained by someone to fight they will take the most time to open up.
