I've been part of the Federal Bureau of investigation before but I think the current leader has more experience in this section, I have been looking for a job in a successful organisation and this job seems to be exactly what I am looking for. It matches the skills, experience and knowledge I have and I know I could fit in and make a contribution to the team. It seems
I grew up in a neighborhood which is riddled with crime. Unfortunately, people who I grew up with became involved in gangs and criminal activities. Those actions led to them having a criminal record. When looking through the options of the podcast, People who are involved in the criminal justice system is the one I thought would be most interesting. The person Bradley Jacobs discusses what he does in the Center for Alternative Sentencing and Employment Services (CASES).
Have you ever thought about having a job that was just completely perfect for you? Like, it fits your personality perfectly? Well, being a DEA agent is mine. I love the thought of it. And I plan on telling you everything about it. And take my word for it, it’s pretty interesting. A DEA agent is top tier in law enforcement and are responsible for taking down the most notorious crime boss’ in history, such as Pablo Escobar and Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman, who both wound up running 2 of the largest cartel drug rings in the world. And that is exactly what I want to be.I’ve been reading about this career for a long time, and it seems pretty interesting. I can tell you about the job, the wages, the requirements, and the risks and some
I chose the Federal Bureau of Investigation for my career choice. According to the Mission and Priorities page on the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s website, the purpose of the Federal Bureau of Investigation or FBI is to, “Protect the American people and uphold the Constitution of the United States (“Mission & Priorities”, n.d.). The FBI ensures this specific purpose by completing the following: “protect civil rights, combat transnational/national criminal organizations and enterprises, combat major white-collar crime, and combat significant violent crime” (“Mission & Priorities”, n.d.). As of right now, “the FBI has around 35,000 employs which includes special agents and support professionals” (“Mission & Priorities”, n.d.).
The mission and values of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is up held with strong Constitutional values. Over the years since the FBI was created in 1908 by Attorney General Charles Bonaparte during the Presidency of Theodore Roosevelt. As a progressive during this time period Bonaparte applied his philosophy to forming the FBI with several corps of agents. His thought was that these men should have expertise and not political connections. With the U.S. Constitution based on “federalism” a national government with jurisdiction over matters that cross boundaries, such as interstate and foreign affairs.
it is a highly desirable assignment. With increased arrests and statistics, those working on this team have a greater opportunity to shine as officers
Furthermore, when offender Wilcox returned to the unit from the hospital, he was placed in 12F-14cell on transient status pending an offender protection investigation. Prior to his housing adjustment, Offender Wilcox provided a statement in which he revealed that his assault was predicated on the fact that he wrote to the G.I office exposing the illicit trade of marijuana in the food service department involving FSM Rodriquez and Offender Greer. He further stated that he physically witnessed FSM Rodriquez hand over some marijuana to Offender Greer in the utensil room. Offender Wilcox also stated that he had complained to Lieutenant Flores and Food service Officer Reaux Robert COIII that Offender Greer was always paired to work as a diet cook
What many do not seem to realize is that a law enforcement agency is not a job, it is a career. One must truly be dedicated and determined to work in the field because it is all about your love for what you are doing.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has the reputation as the world’s premier law enforcement agency with a vision to stay ahead of the threat through leadership, agility, and integration. (FBI's Strategy, 2017). As an intelligence-driven and threat-focused national security organization, the mission of the FBI is to protect the American people by upholding the Constitution of the United States, defend the US against terrorist and foreign intelligence threats; uphold and enforce the criminal laws of the US; and provide leadership and guidance of criminal justice services to federal, state, municipal, international agencies and partners. (Today's FBI Facts & Figures, 2014).
Well their job description is all over the place considering the different branches and fields there are. For example there is the regular FBI agent then there’s the fact that you can be in fa special agency. Plus three are a lot of different agencies. Some of the things they do in these agencies include, “finger printing, lab services, public affairs, or manage”(FBI.gov). All of these different jobs are completely different considering that one day you would have to talk to a lot of people, and tell people what to do, and in the other you would have to sit behind a desk and never come in contact with anyone. This means that you would have to be flexible, and be lenient as to what you do on a daily bases. Another thing the fbi does is “detect and disrupt terrorist sleeper calls” (work.chron.com). This is another example of the diversity in the job. This also shows how important you are to the u.s , and how you will be put under pressure in your job. So if you don’t like being put in tough situations and being put under pressure, then this is probably not a suitable job for you. Another thing the FBI does is “work with lots of cyber-crime” (fbi.gov) This means that you’re going to need to be able to work , and properly work a computer . You would also need to have a liking to them considering they will be used all the time in the agency. Again if this is a problem then this job probably isn’t for
Although, it may seem the FBI knows about the majority of criminalistics situations; they have been doing this job for many years and many years to come. John continues, “The FBI originated from a force of special agents created in 1908 by Attorney General Charles Bonaparte during the presidency of Theodore Roosevelt (2).” This organization has been serving justice since the Roosevelt years in the early 1900’s. Everything the FBI is capable of, could not be demonstrated with perfection if it was not for their structure. This structure consists of being part of the U.S. Department of Justice, which is headed by the United States Attorney General. The authority they are granted are to enforce the law on a federal level (Sections 533 and 534, Title 28 of the U.S. Code). These are the ways the Federal Bureau of Investigation works from the agencies missions, history of the agency and the impressive structure of the agency, which makes them one of the major aspects of the federal law to the United States of America. From the approval of President Roosevelt to establish the beginning of the FBI,
The FBI is considered to be the nation 's premier law enforcement agency today. The
Being an FBI agent is a very tough and strenuous job. Becoming an FBI agent is a whole other accomplishment in itself. To become an FBI agent you would need to have a superb background with the law enforcement. If you have no background in law enforcement this will not be the career for you. An FBI agent works mainly with criminal investigation, long desk hours just doing research (FBI agent, 2014). Also having good communication skills would be a good trait to have. You will have to be able to calm people down in high stress situations or just be able to talk to someone from another country. An FBI agent needs to have an absolute understanding of their job duty, they are required to have a certain level of education, and they will need to acquire some useful skills to help them out.

For as long as I can remember our country has been involved in some form of conflict. With these conflicts came groups who sought to hurt the U.S. on its sovereign soil. I was in pre-k when the Boeing 757’s hit the Twin Towers in New York. My mother checked me out of school after it occurred; she had a sense of urgency to get my brother and I home. I didn’t know what was going on and I was frightened because my mom was as well. When we got home she went straight to the television and turned it to the news. I did not really understand what I was seeing other than a couple of buildings that were on fire. As I grew older the more my understanding of what occurred that tragic day did too. I began to feel a sense of sorrow and that was the initial I needed to set my mind on the track to become a Special Agent in the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). The task of the FBI is not to only investigate the scene after a major event like what occurred in New York, but their main focus is to stop any form of attack before it begins. April 2013, two brothers planted bombs at the Boston Marathon finish line, killing a few and injuring a couple of hundreds of people. Again, I feel this sense of sorrow, but this time I began questioning, “How safe is our country from attacks?” July 2015, Chattanooga, Tennessee a man began to open fire on the recruiting office… He killed five people four of which were Marines and the other a sailor. This act was my breaking point, my determination to
