2 Introduction
The following report will be focused on the business strategy and workforce planning as it applies to the warehouse of Hussmann Australia. Hussmann is a manufacturer of commercial refrigeration units to the retail markets across the globe, the Australian division of Hussmann is responsible for servicing the regions across Australia and Asia. Currently Hussmann employs 89 people within its Australian operation of which 16 are employed in a warehousing capacity, the turnover for the business is in the region of 70 million annually.
Within this report we will define and discuss the current business strategy and workforce planning processes that occur at Hussmann. In addition to reviewing the metrics currently in place.

3.1 Stakeholders
Stakeholders are defined as any party that has an interest or concern in an organisation (Slack 2012). As such a stakeholder can be from the internal or external environments (Baltzan 2010). We will look at each of these separately
3.1.1 Internal Stakeholders The internal stakeholders as they apply to the Hussmann warehouse are o Corporate leadership – who set overall business direction o Site leadership – those charged with implementing the overarching directional goals o Warehouse staff – comprised of both the management of the warehouse as well as the staff who work ‘on the floor’ each day o Other departments in the business – as each section must rely on another to perform tasks in order to facilitate ongoing business
3.1.2 External Stakeholders
The external stakeholders refers to external forces (Kolter 2013) such as o Customers – the groups the business is seeking to sell to o Suppliers – Those the business procures supplies and other items from o Government and other outside bodies – different regulatory groups as well as other interest groups for example unions that represent staff.
3.2 Clarifying the business strategy for the Hussmann warehouse
Taking all the various stakeholders perspectives into consideration the business strategy as it relates to the warehouse is

As the new logistics manager for Newton Tools in Dandenong, it is essential to analyse all aspects the workplace, to determine areas that pose risks and to develop solutions that assist the company, now and into the future.
