The By-Law under Section 5 item B state: " There shall be no term limits for members serving in elected positions". Therefore changes to term limits need the By-Laws changed. Any action taken without said By-Laws change would be invalid. Also, I think we should grant Beth Gerig a special status of Membership without dues. NOTE: Presently we have a category of "Honorary Member", but we wish it removed from the By-Laws. This should be bought to a vote by the membership in a regular meeting. Suggested proposal; Action by this Society should be taken to grant special membership status to Beth Grrig for her many years of service. Whereas this Society grant this membership for life with no due.
One important activity on the list, is being involved in the National Honors Society. This organization recognizes scholars and well-rounded students in middle and high school. These students better themselves at being active community members and exhibiting profound leadership skills. I have the opportunity to be a part of this nationally known organization.
Living in the present and looking back at the past, we as citizens see what has worked and what can be improved; Congress is a good example of this. Some may say that Congress is a failure and some may be happy and proud of the way it functions and runs our country. For those who do not approve of it, the idea is to start fresh and get new ideas, people and habits into office. With the way Congress works today, that may not be the easiest tasks. In order to make changes in Congress, time is needed; a significant change cannot be made over night and expect it to run smoothly. One of the ways to bring change and settle the debate of whether or not to ‘restart Congress’ is to set term limits on congressional members. There should be term
There are several arguments that speak for Congressional term limits. To begin with, term limits were contained in America’s first governing document, the Articles of Confederation. Back then in the eighteenth century this tool was chosen by the founding fathers to avoid long-term political careerism and the abuse of the power legislators hold. Following this statement it becomes clear that term limits are needed at all levels of government, however it is especially vital to apply them to Congress for numerous reasons, some of them being large electoral advantages exercised by
The Torah, the Tanak, the Hebrew Bible, and the Pentateuch. No matter how you say it they all mean the same thing. The Torah is the foundation of Judaism: the most sacred documents. The word Torah can mean numerous things. It often simply refers to the T in Tanak. It is most commonly translated to mean “ the law”. There are five books that make up the Torah. These books are referred to as the Five Books of Moses: Exodus, Genesis, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. The books of the Torah tell the Israelites a story. A story that begins where we begin, and ends before the introduction of the Savoir. It is often questioned, who the author(s) of the Torah is (are). For this question there are generally two main hypotheses: Mosaic Authorship and the Documentary Hypothesis.

Undoubtedly, this had an impact on the school system. Timelines are strictly tracked to ensure compliance. According to DiNapoli and Bleiwas (2008), there are almost 170 different languages spoken in New York. This can make meeting timelines difficulty since children must be tested in their native language. Although it is imperative that students receive the education that they need it can be very difficult to meet timelines in certain

Common law rights were guaranteed by the Magna Carta or Great Charter, which were affirmed in 1215 by King John. One did not have to be born into privilege to have common law rights, however, those who were had even more rights. There were times that the king and parliament disagreed as the “king claimed larger areas of power, leading to a bitter conflict between them.” according to Benedict (p. 1). The term “common law” means “…government protection against the encroachments of the rich and powerful,” according to Benedict (p. 2).
I feel I would make a perfect addition in aiding to sustain the integrity of the organization through these virtues. As an inducted
All members of the House of Representatives and the Senate will be allowed to serve in their positions for a total of twelve years. Members of the House may serve six two-year terms, and members of the Senate may serve two six-year terms. This is not limited to consecutive terms, meaning that if a member of the House serves for say four consecutive terms, and then either decides to take a year off or doesn’t get re-elected, they will still be eligible to serve in the House for two more terms, until the total of twelve years is reached. This amendment would overrule U.S. Term Limits, Inc. v. Thornton (1995).
Term Limits, expresses their legal push to help establish term limits for all members of Congress, including Supreme Court Justices. He starts out by talking about an old Supreme Court case called U.S. Term Limits V. Thornton. This was a 1995 Supreme Court case where the court ruled on whether or not states could impose qualifications for prospective members of Congress. In a 5-4 decision, the Supreme Court ruled that citizens are not allowed to place term limits on their own members of Congress using state laws. Tomboulides emphasizes a specific statement in the dissent of this case that he believes will help their cause in the future. It states, “State imposition of term limits for congressional service would effect such a fundamental change in the constitutional framework that it must come through a constitutional amendment properly passed under the precedes set forth in Article V.” Currently, the U.S. Term Limits is pursuing a proposition to establish a constitutional amendment that places term limits on all members of Congress, including Supreme Court Justices. This is very similar to the proposal issued by Calabresi and Lindgren’s in their
Issue: No straight forward SOP in place with set ups for the client, URS or Minol to follow. Work arounds not working. Incorrect vendor codes and past due bills coming to Minol that have to be rushed to set up causing trickle down errors. For example, incorrectly coded AP files, extra research, delays in bill payment, late fees, potential shut offs to be averted and emergency payments by URS. Late funding is also an issue that trickles down and causes many problems such as late fees, research, the need to request provider extensions, and the potential for double payments as other players seek to resolve.
As I read through the responsibilities associated with the Assistant Director for Compliance Services - Financial Aid position, my belief that I would be well suited for this position grew. My belief is further strengthened by my proficiency in interpreting and applying legislation and my current responsibilities in monitoring compliance with Bylaw 15 bylaw. Although my experience has been at the NCAA Division II level, I believe that Bylaw 15 is one where the distinguishing differences in application between the Division I and II levels are not extreme.
Imposing term limits on the United States Congress could potentially lead to a massive reduction of knowledgeable politicians in the American government, thus resulting in a fatal blow to the future of American progression. When term limits are imposed, it has been shown that legislatures eventually lose valuable leaders, that have the experience of law making and representing their districts with excellence. The national legislation also would willingly increase the power held by the Executive Branch, this intern could compromise the checks and balances system.
In my role as secretary for Science National Honor Society (SciNHS), I was responsible for keeping an accurate record of the attendance and event credits of the members. However, while keeping this record I noticed that many members were struggling to meet their membership requirements. Some lacked the attendance requirements, while others lacked the science event credits. As one of the leaders of SciNHS, I knew it was my responsibility to solve the problems that arose in the club. However, we were all having difficulty finding a solution for how to help out the struggling members without losing integrity or being unfair. Since we did not want our members to struggle to continue in the club, we brainstormed with the leadership team about possible
