TOPIC :
DON'T EQUATE GOD
Read: 2 Kings 18:32
MEMORISE:
"Who among the gods is like you, O Lord? Who is like you majestic in holiness, awesome in glory, working wonders
(Exodus 15:11)
It is natural for man to try to use comparison. They want to know who is the best in a class, or group of people. They may want to know which tree is the tallest, and who is fatter, thinner or smartter, etc. Sennacherib in the wake of his numerous victories, became tempted to equate God with the gods of other lands, he conquered. He did this at his own peril. He could not come to term with the fact that, God helped him to win all the battles he had so far fought. He thought his achievements came as a result of his strength or military prowess. We must realise that, it is not by power or might, but by my spirit says the lord

He is greater than the greatest of all. Comparing God to the gods or anyone, only shows our level how ignoramus we are, and the shallowness of our understanding of Him. God passes all. He is supreme and sovereign. Like Sennacherib, there are situations and circumstances that belittle God in our lives. They try to make us see God as minute, incapacitated, insignificant, powerless, frail, etc. Take tutorial from Hezekiah and deal with those taunting cases, like Sennacherib was dealt with (2 Kgs 19:35-37). More importantly, report them directly to God who has the best punitive measure. Do not subscribe to people, situation that make jest of your God.
PRAYER POINTS
1. Lord, silence all the battle that are trying to make me lose the sight of your bigness
2. Lord, continue to prove and glorify yourself in our nations and let unbelievers come to know You as Lord.
3. Give the believers the power to testify of You, even in the face of toughest persecution or challenge.
EXTRA READING FOR TODAY:Psalms 109 - 117.
HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND..........
It is surely surprising that religion has adopted a pagan Greek term with the purpose of trying to describe some of its most notable figures. It is not necessarily that Augustine de Hippo and Mohammed were considered to possess superhuman abilities, as people came to associate them with heroes because they were dedicated to assisting the masses and because they were predisposed to doing good.
Your nothing but earth under my feet but yet you stand as if you were my equal! Son of Adam... O Israel to the Lord your god, you have stumbled for your iniquity, but to the day I was humbled by the strength I see In your young soul Because of this I will allow you keep your soul! But I will return on the day when you are ready to face me and I Will see if you are a foe truly worth waiting for but if I defeat you I will devour your soul as I was meant to do so today, Now stand aside!...

The message given by Jesus and the apostles is resoundingly clear. Whether our conflicts involve minor irritations or major legal issues, God is eager to display his love and power through us as we strive to maintain peace and unity with those around us. Our dependence on him and obedience to this call will show the power of the gospel and enable me to enjoy the personal peace that God gives to those who faithfully follow him.
Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every nation. (Mark 16:15)
In the eyes of many, God is the almighty, the righteous judge, the answer, the light, the healer, and many more. He has done so much for His people where His people can hardly give back to match up to His greatness. It is important to understand that in Christian scripture, people do not work to be worthy of God for it is the life that God gives His people that they are worthy. God does not expect perfection in human beings for they have always made mistakes since they were created in God’s image on the sixth day. However, people mainly are expected to do one thing: spread the message of God and let everyone be aware and understand the Truth. This then leads to a controversial question that exists within the Christian community, other
It is most interesting to me that someone who Christian, or even Jewish, would make the claim that they are God or equal to God. I feel that goes against the beliefs of
Why do people think that they can beat God at the Game of life, acting kind of foolishly in their pride and thinking. God never loses. It like playing chess with God. He knows all of the moves, possibilities, and outcomes. What kind of act can you play on God to fool Him?
Paul is telling Christians how to always be ready for different situations that will come up against us in life. This armor that Paul talks about help you become ready for whatever the enemy throws your way. The suite in this army help you fight against all areas that the enemy will try to attack. Christ never leaves you without a way of protection or escape. God thought on this knowing the enemy, He covered believers from head to toe. God starts this telling you to be strong in the lord not in yourself. Paul let you know this fight is not on earth yet in the spirit ream. We do not fight against flesh and blood. Those powers are strong, human effort is inadequate to fight without having on the whole armour of God.
In Isaiah it says are my hands to short to save you – do I not have the power to rescue you – it is like that – and sometimes we look down on God and we look at God at our own level. But really there is this unjust judge – we can be this also. We should not look at God at our own eyes.
A persons ancestors were seen as friendly powers in a world were there was danger. The deceased person’s possessions were left to their children. Pharaohs ordered armies of servants to build temples filled with priests in charge of offerings and setting up police incase of the tomb being robbed. On the festive of the gods their idols were taken out of their sanctuaries, put on boats and rode to a near-by temple.
Some say Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ aren't real. That is their opinion, and I respect that. Although, it breaks my heart to see them missing out on so much that they could be receiving. He has formed me into a better person, and I am still under construction. Without Him, I have no idea where I would be right now. He is guiding me down the fateful path that will get me back to Him.
It is said that after 100 years a powerful hero is sent by the gods to fight against the demons and monsters of the world. Every 100 years, this hero is always different from each of its predecessor but is said that they have similar appearances, possibly a depiction of one of the gods themselves! Not many know about who these beings are but there is one thing that they all have in common, it is their unequal strength! They are hailed for fighting against powerful foes on the battlefield, however, the truth is not what it seems to be.
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the
