When the words rock music comes to mind, some people instantly think of The Beatles, most likely because they are widely considered to be one of the greatest bands of all time. John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr formed The Beatles, in 1960 but sadly parted ways 1970. ‘Can’t buy me love’ uses simple but effective repetitive phrases that can be heard all throughout the song. Versus 1,2,5,6,7,8,11,12,13 and 14 when the phrases “Can’t buy me love, oh,”, and “I don’t care too much for money, money can’t buy me love,” are repeated many times throughout the entire song and the melodic pattern, shape and contour stays the same each time. This form of repetition keeps the lyrics and melody engraved in the listener’s heads.
