Cardiologist Career Paper

The career I am curious about is in the medical field, generally speaking, nursing. I have chosen to become a registered nurse because of its background, and how its characteristics require the use of creativity, problem-solving, social skills, and critical thinking. Registered nurses use various skills to diagnose and apply certain care methods to specific patients. I know that nurses aid patients with various illnesses, diseases, disabilities, and injuries. I love helping people and the feeling I receive when helping people. It would also be very motivating to learn and discover things about the human body and how to fix any problems involving it.

Choosing healthcare as a career for me was quite personal. When I was born, I was delivered a month and a half early. My lungs weren’t fully developed and I couldn’t survive on my own. As soon as I was born I was rushed out of the room to the NICU

The noble idea of being a doctor tends to cloud the diligent studying and precise training that is actually required for this career. The experience I gained at the cardiology clinic and the hours shadowing at the Methodist Hospital emergency room are a pillar for the career of my choice. I want to be able to help those in need in my local community hospital. I feel the urge to give a hand to those that have guided me through the right path, from teaching me right from wrong to encouraging me to strive to be the best in life. At the Methodist hospital, I learned how to obtain patient’s medical history and entered data into Cerner, and I obtained consent from patients before procedures such as diagnostic imaging and casting. I observed physical examinations being performed by the physician assistant and it taught me that it is necessary to have knowledge to be able to diagnose and treat conditions and that interpersonal skills are essential for this career. Currently, I work for the department of health where I triage and register patients, assist physicians and nurse practitioner in the examination of patients, and assist with maintenance of inventory supplies and

I am a senior at Udall High School. I am involved in many activities including: Volleyball, Softball, Student Council, Yearbook, FBLA, and Forensics. I am the youngest of six siblings in which three others also graduated from Udall. I will attend a four or two year college my first years, and then to attend Oklahoma University where I will begin medical school.

There are hundreds of career paths and options, which can be overwhelming and exciting. I have looked into many possibilities and wanted to talk to a speech pathologist about their career and responsibilities. Speech pathologists, also known as speech-language pathologists or speech therapists, help individuals with a multitude of disorders, associated with swallowing, speech, and language. They can work in schools, hospitals, specialty clinics, or through private practice. I chose to interview Sherri Anderson, a speech pathologist for Rock Creek Elementary School in the Beaverton School District in Oregon. Ms. Anderson originally got a degree in English, and worked for a bookstore for a decade before going back to school to become a speech

One of the cool parts of the medical field is the diversity. There are so many different choices and careers a person can branch off into. Take a look at the nursing field alone. There are so many specialties within nursing to take. It's really interesting to see how a person can easily customize their medical career to their personality and personal goals.

The career I have chosen to pursue in the future is a surgeon. A surgeon is a physician who performs surgical operations. They are who cut the human body for the purpose of removing diseased tissue or organs, to repair body systems, or to replace diseased organs with transplants. Surgeons may be physicians, dentists, podiatrists, and veterinarians. Surgeons can be general surgeons and perform all types of surgery, or they can be specialized, such as heart surgeons or brain surgeons. I plan to specialize in heart surgery or as its also known cardiothoracic surgeon. A cardiothoracic surgeon is a medical doctor who specializes in surgical procedures of the heart, lungs, esophagus, and other organs in the chest. This includes surgeons who can be called cardiac surgeons, cardiovascular surgeons, general thoracic surgeons, and congenital heart surgeons.

I am choosing a career where I literally have a person’s life in my hands. Asahq states that an Anesthesiologist is a doctor that is primarily responsible for the safety of patients before, during, and after surgery. They place patients in a state of controlled unconsciousness and give sedation to relieve pain or anxiety. I always wanted to work in the medical field, and keeping people out of pain is something I want to do.

What do anesthesiologist do? An anesthesiologist will insert general or local anesthetic into the patients body. During the surgeon does its work the anesthesiologist will be monitoring the body's temperature, blood pressure, and the patients oxygen level. The anesthesiologist also have a nurse at his/her side. The anesthesiologist nurse will take care of the patient after and before the surgery. She will take care that the anesthetic didn't do damage to the patient and if the patient will wake up from the surgery. An anesthesiologist needs to complete his/her bachelor's degree, then he/she needs 4 more years leading to have a degree in medicine when your done receiving your medicine degree you have to wait 4

In the healthcare field there are a multiple amount of professions. These professions vary greatly in duties, requirements, salary and more. One of these many health professions, anesthesiologists, will be reviewed over the educational status required for the position, the profession’s role and function in society, and the workforce trends.

Health care professionals specializing in the cardiovascular system diagnose and treat patients experiencing difficulty with the heart and lungs. Opportunities to work as a member of a cardiovascular team include specialists like a cardiologist, cardiovascular surgeon, clinical cardiac perfusionist, and cardiovascular technician. Each health care professional requires varied experience, but each position is necessary to help patients prevent and recover from potentially life threatening cardiovascular events.

Healthcare has many different areas one can go into if interested in this field. I have chosen two that have always been an interest to me; Nursing (particularly registered nursing) and an EMT (Emergency Medical Technician). Both jobs are very demanding and extremely important. Both are respected jobs and require a tremendous amount of caring for others.

Being that my mother has attended medical school several times, I first handedly have seen how difficult it can be. I have been told by many people to pick a different profession because of that; But because of how passionate I am about cardiology and the amount of times I have experienced people deal with heart problems has assured me that I have chose the right profession. I being a very conscientious person has has also assured me that I will be able to tackle medical school and become a cardiologist. I believe that the first steps of becoming a cardiologist is that I have personally experienced people suffer from
