My first Nursing Career goal is to complete my education here at St. Francis College to obtain my Bachelors of Science in Nursing and to pass my NCLEX exam. After passing the NCLEX I would like to work as a Registered Nurse in a hospital in or around New York City. While working as a Registered Nurse I would like to gain experience in the field to finally decide what aspect of Nursing I would like to specialize in. My overall goal right now, is to work as an RN and to go back to school to become a Nurse Anesthetist. Within my career my goals are to do my job to the best of my ability. I want to help as many patients as I possibly can and make their experience in the hospital the best it can be.
5 years from now my career goal that I have set for myself is to graduate from an approved nursing program and pass the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN) to become a Registered Nurse (RN). After graduation I hope to be promoted at the hospital I am woking at to start working as a registered nurse
Registered nurses work alongside physicians providing patient care in a variety of ways. A few examples of what nurses are responsible for include: administering medications, tracking patient’s vital signs, helping to diagnose and properly treat patient aliments and educating the patient and their family on their condition and the course of treatment. Depending on what area of medicine a nurse works in will determine more generalized and specific duties and responsibilities. There are many different areas a nurse may work in. Some areas include: obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, emergency room, and many more. Nurses can work in a variety of settings, these can include: hospitals, urgent cares, doctors office, nursing homes and home health.
The career I plan on pursuing will be Nurse Assistant. Some people may wonder why I decided to choose Nursing Assistant so now I want to tell you why. Ever since I was a little girl I loved watching nurses do their job like in hospitals in other places. I never really actually realized how much I really wanted to end up being a Certified Nurse Assistant until I witnessed some death right in front me. I watched that person get hit and just laid there and was just dying and I was just wishing I could’ve done something to help that innocent man. And while I use to sit at the hospital with my mother I had seen how caring and proficient they were to her. All the things I’ve witnessed and being through made me open my eyes and realize the Nursing was for me and I
After graduating from Blackhawk Technical College my nursing career will begin at St. Mary's Janesville Hospital as a surgical/pediatric nurse. I am excited to begin this journey within an organization I have been a part of since before the doors opened in January of 2012. St. Mary's Janesville is partnered with several colleges offering ADN to BSN degrees. My future goals include enrolling and completing an ADN to BSN degree program by December of 2020. In addition to earning my BSN by 2020, my goals also include obtaining my ACLS and PALS certificates within four months of hire.
I am a nursing student. I have a great passion for caring for others. My short term goals are to graduate Riverland Community College with my Associate's Degree in Nursing this December. I plan to work very hard and prepare to take my nursing licensure exam at the beginning of next year to become licensed as a registered nurse. I will then transfer to Metropolitan State University to complete my Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
In your nursing career or personal life, have you volunteered your services? If so, please describe the facility and your experience. If not, why?
I would imagine that all of us in this MS(N) program, are experiencing a great deal of change both professionally and personally as we embark on pursuing higher education. “Developing career goals is one of the most important activities that an individual can do to enhance professional development and ensure upward mobility in the nursing profession” (Pullen, 2011, p. 5). Goals give us something to look forward to, work for, improve and change, as necessary (Quinn-Szcesuil, 2015). My first assignment at WCU’s BSN program was to develop a list of professional goals that I aspired to and my very last assignment of the BSN program was quite similar as I revisited my original set of goals, revised and updated as necessary. The fact I am revisiting this same topic, proves the importance of goal setting.
In Four years my goal is to be finished with nursing school, and be a registered nurse (RN). I would have started my first nursing job, and become every good at fulfilling the needs of every patient.
My short-term career goal is to successfully complete and pass the nursing licensing exam NCLEX-RN and become a registered nurse by December of 2018. I aspire to become a geriatric nurse in long term care facilities, community homes and services for the elderly by May of 2020. When I become a registered. I intend to be a nursing leader and an active member in Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario (RNAO); in order to promote gerontology nursing. Additionally, I will utilize the knowledge and skills gained from my clinical practice in geriatric care to advocate for an improve quality practice environment, an improve access to quality care and a safer care delivery systems for the elderly. My primary goal is to go
The main goals I have for myself are to become a well-rounded, intelligent, and focused nurse. I want to know all about nursing and how I can help everyone I can. I come from a long line of strong women who were nurses. Nursing is in my blood and I want to carry the legacy on. As a nurse, I want to be able to touch as many lives as possible. As for my education, I want to continue on for the rest of my life, therefore I will never stop learning new medical procedures and practices for the future. I want to be able to be educated in all ways of nursing so it opens my opportunities to help more people. There are many people in the world that need my help and if I can touch hundreds of them I know that in my heart I did the right thing. Not only
Everyone desires to be remembered when they are gone and am no exception. I would love special memories of me to linger in the minds and hearts of those I got to interact with during my lifetime. I have always considered myself as someone so full of life and outgoing and would want to be remembered by family and friends as the kindest soul, a symbol of true kindness and love. My mother always taught me the virtue of kindness from a tender age and that it was the most priceless gift one could offer. Attending to my patients at the hospital and seeing them get well has always brought joy and peace to my heart. I would want my community to remember me as a symbol of love and to always spread that love by showing acts of kindness to the less fortunate. My nursing career has impacted heavily in the person I have become.
I believe that I am prepared to face the challenges and demands of the nursing program at Sumner College. Nursing programs are intensive and demanding which require a lot of study time and good study skills, both of which I have. Nursing is my passion, so classes and clinicals will be a pleasure for me. I’m determined to do the very best that I can to meet and exceed the goals that I and Sumner College has set forth to be an RN student.
My ears focused closely on the words he utters as he stood across the desk and told me that my career path will most likely be Management or Education. Two semesters before this, the dean of the Nursing School told me because I earned a grade of a "D" in anatomy and physiology; I am an ineligible candidate for Nursing School. I will not be able to enroll in any other Nursing school in the state of Georgia for two years. Helpless and afraid, I faced two choices: leave the Georgia and apply to a Nursing School and avoid the two-year wait; or, stay in my current institution and change majors. "Management or teaching are the only career path the test shows I should go into," I replied to the Career Center Director as he read me my career path results from a 30-minute personality test I took in his office a week before.
Following Critical Care registration, nurses interested in furthering their career development may pursue a Master of Science degree in different areas of critical care. Some of these units are Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU), Pediatric Intensive Care Units (PICU), Coronary Care Units (CCU), Surgical Intensive Care Units (SICU), Medical Intensive Care Units (MICU), and Burn Units.
I have three goals I would like to achieve during my time here at Auburn University Montgomery. One being that I would like to pass all my classes freshman year with an A. Secondly, I would like to be accepted in the Nursing program within two years of being here. Lastly, I would like to graduate with a Bachelor's in Nursing. Questions I have about achieving these goals include what are the actual in more detail requirements for the nursing program, how do I apply for the nursing program when I meet the requirements for it, and how would the classes I take now prepare me for it. I personally think my biggest challenge is to not procrastinate because even though I try not to it is a habit of mine that is really hard to break. My greatest strengths
