Having a part time job while balancing high school can be very difficult. Personally I am a very busy individual and would need a job to work around my schedule. If I were to get a job I would want something that interested me as a possible future career. I would want to be a electrician apprentice, This job sparks my interests and I am intrigued and want to learn about this more and more! I would be gaining training experience for the future and also be making money. I am a very hard worker and I would always be worth keeping around. This is my dream high school career!
First, I have Wanted to be Electrician from a very young age and am very excited to start my training! This would be my earliest chance to gain work experience in the career
Having a job in high school seems all good but having a job in high school can have a whole lot of side effects. The number 1 side effect is that it can cause you to have a whole lot of stress. High school can be an exceptionally difficult all by itself. There is a great deal of weight for high school students to excel academically, and with college admission appearing it seems to be more competition than ever, numerous students feel they should go well beyond to try and have a possibility at getting acknowledged. With so much stressed already set on high schoolers to prevail in their courses and exams, including 20
On January 22, 2001, I was born at Rex Hospital in Raleigh, North Carolina. My family and I traveled around for about a year and a half of my life before settling down in Augusta, Georgia. We stayed in Georgia until I finished preschool, then we moved to Greensboro, North Carolina. The first several years living in Greensboro were typical until I reached middle school. In my early years of school, I was the kid who was always so sprightly but when I reached sixth grade that momentum shifted. I let procrastination bury me alive in addition to my low self-esteem leading me into sadness. The only form of serenity during middle school was music. Music rejuvenated my state of mind and permitted me to be happier. Immensely being involved in the choral program at the middle school majorly contributed to my happiness. I received high honors while being in the program that paved my high school choral career to be astounding. However, my academic high school career did not quite meet the same expectations.
In the next five years, there will be lots of people retire from their jobs which means people in high school now will have the opportunity to take those jobs. The job that seems the most interesting would be working at an electric co-op being a lineman. Linemen do a lot of things for the co-ops, including construction and repair of distribution lines. This job would require a lot of physical labor and time away from your family. These lineman give up a lot of things to help everybody else out. During every storm they are on call and they have to wait for a call to come in which means they sit at the electric dispatch place away from their families. I have linemen in my family and they have stated that they love their job and would not choose
Most parents would rather see their child achieve higher academically than seeing them earn minimum wage. Students should not work during high school because they get better grades and have more time for a social life. Although working through high school gives the student more spending money, they should not forego the opportunities that would open to them by getting good grades. They also may be able to receive more work experience by working through high school, but if they drop out, they won’t be making nearly as much money as a high school graduate or someone with a bachelor’s degree.
Working while in high school can be difficult but with some information and a plan, you can succeed in the job world and the education world.

Many students, teachers, parents, and community members debate the value of working while in high school. As with any other topic, there are pros and cons to this.
All throughout my career in high school I have been told we are learning things to better prepare us for the lives we are going to lead. Also we are told that we are preparing for college as well in terms of the information we are required to learn. With that in mind I have tried to keep more practical things in mind when going about my learning and I have tried to pick classes that would challenge me and allow me to grow in some way. When looking at the future in terms of what I would like to continue learning or what I want to start learning there are a lot of different things that come to mind. First and foremost I want to learn things that I can use in my everyday life in the form of a job or something else and I want to be challenged by
Moving out is something that every teen dreams of doing once they are out of high school. Once they are out of high school and met with reality, they realize that it’s hard moving out right after high school. This project has helped me open my eyes to what would happen.
Having a well-paying part time job would be a great thing for a college student that is very close to graduation. The main issue with this scenario would be time. If I were to accept the job, just the commute itself would be something to consider. Could I possibly find a lesser paying job that is closer to where I live? Also, with taking 18 hours of class, knowing that they all are going to be very time consuming, I would have to consider if I would be able to keep my grades where they need to be. Graduating and keeping my grades up would be the main priority. With just being 18 hours away from graduation, I would definitely not want to fail a class and have to take it again due to working too much.
I figured it was confusion due to miscommunication. I accepted the position with the intensions of committing my efforts to a group of 25 for the year and hopefully throughout their High School Careers. Please send me a job description of the director position. I will be in town from June 30 through July 4th.I know this is an extended Holiday weekend, but I'd love the opportunity to sit down and talk. Looking forward to working with you and the RTB
I am looking forward to the new opportunities in the next step in my life, college. I am one of those people that likes to really dig into a problem. When I don’t understand something, it challenges me and pushes me to work through it and overcome it. This applies to not only to my academics, but to everything in my life. As a freshman in high school, I weighed only 75 pounds, I was pretty small for my age. Knowing this would be difficult, my parents challenged me to join the high school wrestling team and I accepted. To explain, the lowest weight class is 106 pounds, I gave up over 30 pounds when I wrestled. While this seemed scary at first, I dug in, worked hard, and didn’t let my size slow me down. I never backed down from a challenge.
We all look forward to that one day that ends our high school careers, graduation. You have finally made it after all of the hard work you have put forth. But, now the question is, what´s the next step?
I think that it is inconvenient for adolescent to work while attending high school. Although the really is that many adolescents are obtaining part time employment while in high school. According Santrock (2014) “It is estimated that 80 to 90 percent of adolescents are employed at some point during high school” (p.387). I do agree that there are some potentially positive influences. Some of the advantageous that a working adolescent may experience are the development of autonomy, social learning, and intergenerational harmony and contribute to the continuity between adolescence and adulthood (Greenberger & Steinberg, 1981. p.691).
My head is plagued; with my self-deprecating fears, emotions too complex to comprehend, and ne’er do well intentions. We are required by law to abide by the rules of education: Pursuing in such education within our younger years. This requirement, however, does nothing to soothe my vexed mind. Despite this impediment to my tranquility, I do in fact find some serenity through my interests. With singing, drawing, and video games, I feel better. Everything feels better.
