I have chosen to pursue a career in computer science, because it has been a heavy influence on me throughout my life. All my life I have been surrounded by technology, almost more than half of my family has a career in the IT field, which is what sparked my interest. My earliest memory of when I first became interested was when I was about 6 and my mother bought me a phonics dog, and I was more interested in how it worked rather than what it did. The Operating system is one most important parts of anything that runs on technology. It manages the computers memory and processes the information for the software and hardware. There is different operation system for pc, tablets, smart cars, and smartphones.

A computers operating system (OS) is the core of the computer and is more than just software. The OS controls the computer’s memory and processes as well as its hardware and software. It is the brain of the computer. Software applications on the other hand perform a certain task. Ex. Google Chrome provides internet and Adobe allows PDF files to be read (among other things). The OS is what makes all of these applications work successfully and accomplish whatever the application is designed to accomplish.

The 3 careers are a Pediatrician, Software Engineer, and IT Project Manager. I will be evaluating the 3 careers with an evaluation matrix and 5 criteria. An evaluation matrix is used to determine various alternatives compared to emphasized criteria.
