Carrie Underwood: A Brief Biography

Barbara Kingsolver was already an established novelist when she moved from drought-ridden Arizona to her family farm in Virginia, as chronicled in her book Animal, Vegetable, Miracle. Kingsolver was determined to go totally 'local' by growing her own food and only consuming foods grown locally and in season. The ultimate goal of Kingsolver's experiment was to have a zero carbon footprint. This meant eschewing citrus fruit flown in from Florida and California and selecting locally-grown rhubarb instead; collecting her own chicken eggs, and killing her own turkeys. Kingsolver was unimpressed by 'going organic,' given the extent to which corporations dominated the organic industry and she was unimpressed by vegetarianism's argument that it offered a more sustainable lifestyle. "I'm unimpressed by arguments that condemn animal harvest...while ignoring, wholesale, the animal killing that underwrites vegetal foods" Kingsolver writes (Kingsolver 222). Pesticides, she points out, kill animals to ensure that we have vegetables and soy burgers.

By winning this contest, she continued to stay humble through her fame. Her contributions through country music demonstrated by the career of Carrie Underwood proved beyond a doubt the Country Music Hall of Fame should induct this singer. She has shown the value through her major works, charities and influences, and professional morals.

Carrie Underwood is considered to be one of the most well known and popular female artists in the country music industry.  She was born in Muskogee, OK on March 10, 1983.  Not only is she a singer, she is also a famous singer -songwriter and actress.  Growing up and being raised on a farm she loved doing things outside, going on adventures and singing.  Immediately after graduating high school, she attended NSU (Northeastern State University) which is located in Tahlequah, OK.  In college, she put her dreams on hold of becoming a singer and majored in broadcast journalism.

Most people have a preference when it comes to food and very few people like every food that if offered to them. Some people believe that eating animals is wrong and prefer become vegetarians. Some people go even further and become vegans who don’t eat any products that come from animals.

Attention material: She is the most popular female artist since 2006 when she started as a country singer; she has won many Grammy Awards, Kids Choice Awards and People’s Choice Awards with her incredible talent. She is generous, creative and successful; this could be no other than our beloved Taylor Swift.

Luke Bryan has had a very successful life. He has won numerous awards as a country singer and has become known across America, but all this fame took time and hard work to get. 3 pivotal times in his life are his childhood, when he first got to Nashville, and right now.

I am going to share with you the story of how Luke Bryan saved country music in his hometown. He could sing so loud he could knock a building over. When he was a baby he would scream so loud he knocked down the walls of his own house! He discovered he could sing at a young age, so he decided that was what he wanted to do for his future. He thought about opera because he could sing so loud, but he went with the path country music instead.

This recording became one of the first country music recordings to sell a million copies. The discovery of these early artists lead the path way for many more great artists to follow. Though country music has been around since the 1920’s and has constantly been changing over time and still continues to change today, the newest sound has come from Troyal Garth Brooks, better known as Garth Brooks (Garrett). Garth Brooks was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma and raised in Yukon, Oklahoma (Schuster). While for most of his life he was considered an athlete even went to Oklahoma State University on a full ride track scholarship, he did know how to play music being thought to him by his father (Schuster). After finishing at Oklahoma State University he would head Nashville to try and break into the world of country music (Schuster). After signing with Capital Recorders, we would become the popular throughout Country music and would rise to fame (Schuster). With Brooks being known for starting a new trend in country music. Garth Brooks paved a new way into country music, to creating a new group to listen outside the normal crowd, crossing over into the pop music (Schuster). From this photo you can see a lot of high-contrast colors. The brighter and warmer colors, such as the yellow from the lights, and blue, orange, and red from the jumbo-tron stand out against the darker color in the photo. In the crowd of people the subtle white color from the light-up wristbands that people were wearing also stands out amongst the darker colors. The white colored wristbands can also create form in the photo because they look like little white dots.
