Luke Bryan has had a very successful life. He has won numerous awards as a country singer and has become known across America, but all this fame took time and hard work to get. 3 pivotal times in his life are his childhood, when he first got to Nashville, and right now.

The start of Luke’s entire life story was his childhood. He was born on July 17, 1976 in Leesburg, Georgia. He was raised on his father’s peanut farm with his brother, Chris, and sister, Kelly. He first discovered his passion for music when he was fourteen after his parents bought him a guitar for his birthday. Soon after, he became good enough with his guitar, and with his voice, to start performing with local musicians. When Luke finished high school, he packed up his bags and got ready to head to Nashville, but before he was able to leave tragedy struck, his brother Chris was suddenly killed in a car accident. At that point, Luke put Nashville on hold and enrolled at Georgia Southern University so he could stay close to his family. Luke moved to Nashville in the summer of 2001 and quickly landed a songwriting contract. At night he would perform his own music at local clubs until an A&R rep from Capitol Records saw him perform one night and signed him to a label. Then in 2007 he released his first studio album, I’ll Stay Me. Then two years later he released his second album, Doin My Thing, which peaked at No. 2 on the country charts and produced two number one singles, Rain is a Good Thing and Someone Else Calling You Baby. This early success led to a nomination for top new male vocalist and both Billboard and Country Weekly called Luke an artist to watch, but these good times soon led to tragedy.
