INTRODUCTION:
This case involves an unknown female Black, gaining entry to the underground parking structure at 277 W. Green St. (Catania Apartments), and stealing the victim’s black Cannondale Mountain Bicycle. The bicycle is valued at $400.00.
LOCATION:
Catania Apartments is a controlled access, 4-story apartment complex with an underground parking structure.
LOSS:
• 2013 Black 7speed Cannondale Trail 29ER SL2 Bicycle, serial #HM27698, valued at $900.00 Total Value: $900.00
INVESTIGATION:
On Saturday, July 15, 2017, I was on patrol, in full uniform, in a marked black and white Pasadena Police vehicle, Unit #48. At approximately 2134 hours, I was dispatched to 277 W. Green St., in regards to a petty theft. Upon my arrival I made contact with victim Patrick Church and he told me the following in summary. Refer to my body worn camera for further details on Church’s statement.
VICTIM PATRICK CHURCH’S STATEMENT:
Church told me he left his black 2013, 7speed Cannondale Trail 29ER SL2 Bicycle, serial #HM27698 unsecured in the secured underground parking structure. Church told me there are approximately 30 bicycles unsecured in the underground parking structure. Today at approximately 1900

The video surveillance was uploaded to evidence.com as evidence. On 07/14/17, at approximately 1730 hours, I saw a female Black walking around the secured underground parking structure. The female Black was wearing a black hat, black tank top, and dark shorts. At approximately 1746 hours, the female Black walked past the front desk with Church’s black 2013 7speed Cannondale Trail 29ER SL2 Bicycle. I took a photograph of the female Black leaving the location with the black 2013, 7speed Cannondale Trail 29ER SL2 Bicycle. See attached copy of the photograph. I asked DeLaSierra if I can get a copy of the video surveillance and said he does not know how to make copies of the video
On 04-11-2017 at approximately 1500hrs, I conducted an investigation on a stolen bike that was taken from Holmes Foods (101 S. Liberty Avenue). I made contact with the owner, who was identified as Ricardo Perez (TX-ID # 18515108). Perez informed me that his bicycle had been taken from his place of employment without his permission. Perez advised he chained the front tire to the frame to prevent anyone from riding off with the bicycle, but failed to secure the bicycle to the bike rack. Perez advised upon leaving his place of employment, he noticed his bicycle missing from where he parked it. Perez notified his supervisor, who informed Perez that he would review the security cameras. On 04-11-2017 I reviewed the security cameras on property

Met with Ms. Balgobin at 10:43 a.m. regarding her $7,442.68 outstanding rental arrearage. Ms. Balgobin said she had two money orders for $400 each to mail but lost her purse in the parking lot of Stop and Shop. She did not call the police but went to security who located the purse; her valuables including the untraceable money orders were gone. She was only able to make one payment of $400 prior to this incident, to Hildebrand. She stated she canceled her debit card, etc.
On Monday August 08, 2016 I, Detective K. Holland #636 began reviewing this case file. The three listed suspects, Ramon Alvarado, Jose Blancas, and Hector Gatica were believed to be involved with burglarizing vehicles prior to their arrest. Since their arrest, victims had come forwards to report their vehicle was burglarized. Property belonging to Malinda Sims, (a Samsung cell phone), was returned to her by Officer Acosta. Sims also reported that $80-$100 was stolen from her vehicle. Officer Weaver advised that there was still electronic equipment inside the Dodge Avenger that was located at Brownwood Towing. A search warrant was sought for the Avenger, and it was signed by Judge Sam Moss. The search of the vehicle was occurred on 08/08/16
On 26 June 2017 at 1516 hours, Officers were dispatched to the area of 305 East Penn Street for a theft of a vehicle. Officer were advised the actor was a Rhiannon Meyer and that she had stolen her dad Dodge truck green in color with a plow on the front. and was last seen heading towards Main Street. Officer began to check the area of Main Street, when Unit 191 called out with the vehicle at 100 Pennsylvania Ave, in Shenandoah Heights. Your Affiant (Patrolman William Moyer) along with Patrolman Tyler Dissinger responded to Unit 191 (Chief Livergood) location. At arrival Chief Livergood had MEYER in custody along with the stolen vehicle. MEYER'S was still yelling about someone having a gun in the window of the residence and was not making sense
On 08/07/15 at approximately 1820 hours, my partner (Ofcr. Vanlenzuela No.38161) and I (Ofcr. Nunez No.36181) were working North Hollywood patrol, assigned to unit 15A84 W5. At that time, we responded 10849 Fruitland Dr for an “Attempt 211 Suspect.” Comments of the call indicated the P/R was the wife of the victim Melvin Salinas. Suspect was described as a male black “transient” armed with a knife tried to take a vehicle from the parking garage Inc# 150807003722.
The incident occurred in a two story apartment complex rear carport (east side) located on the east side of the street.
On March 12, 2015 at approximately 0143 hours, I responded to C-Town Bicycle & Fitness Equipment, 1927 Highway 138 to investigate a burglary alarm. Upon my arrival, I noticed that the side glass window had been broken. Once other officers and the owner, Jane Hayward, arrived on scene, we proceeded to clear the building to determine if it was safe. No entry was made by the suspect and no items were taken. The building was determined clear and no threat was located.
On Thursday, August 31, 2017 at approximately 2232 hours, I was dispatched to a residence across the street from 2220 University St in reference of a suspicious person inside of a black truck. Upon arrival I spoke to the complainant Ms. Delisa Smothers. Ms. Smothers stated that at approximately 2230 hours, an unknown black male went inside her neighbor's truck located across the street at 2221 University street.
On Thursday, July 14, 2016, at approximately 0847 hours, Patrolman David Stamets had a vehicle stopped on the 100 block of East Oak Street. Immediately after Stamets stopped the vehicle Your Affiant positioned his vehicle on the 100 block of South White Street near the Oak Street intersection facing southbound. When exiting my vehicle your Affiant observed a gold Pontiac sedan accelerating northbound on South White Street at an unsafe speed towards Stamets and your Affiant's location.
Officer Harrell met with Nancy Lawler (DOB 11-07-50 626-639-3105) who resides at 1196 Forest Avenue. Lawler’s residence is directly across the street from 1199 Forest Avenue. Lawler’s residence is equipped with two video surveillance cameras which are attached at the front of the residence. Lawler has never viewed the video surveillance footage and does not know the actual coverage. Lawler did not know how to operate the video surveillance equipment. Upon my arrival, I was met by a black female adult identified as Lynette Harris-Williams. Williams stated that she leaves her purse on the floorboard of the passenger side of the vehicle every night. Williams then stated that she last saw her purse in the vehicle on 01/08/2018 at about 1930 hours. On Monday January 29, 2018 I was responding to a call of shots fired at College Villa Apartments when I heard Gautier Police Dispatchers announce there was a white vehicle leaving the scene. As I was travelling down Ladnier Road I observed a white vehicle turn north onto ladnier from College Villa and immediately turn around and head onto West Park Drive. I proceeded to follow the vehicle, as I turned onto West Park I observed the vehicle pull into a driveway and cut their lights off.
