Farmacia Su Salud was founded in 1993 by Dr. Martha Yugcha. With her being a doctor and her husband as well they saw it as the perfect opportunity to start a business and supplement their income as well. Over the years they have grown to a total of fourteen pharmacies. Not all of them are owned by Dr. Martha, they’re owned by family members that have become partners and some that have opened franchises helping the company name grow. These pharmacies are outside the main city of Guayaquil and are located in small towns like Salitre, Samborondon, Nobol, Santa Lucia, Daule, and Balzar. This affects the pharmacy and the office work. The reason why it affects the pharmacy is because they don’t have enough personnel to cover shifts when one or more call out. As for the office having three people run the internal part of six pharmacies isn’t enough.
There aren’t many weaknesses but the next important weakness would have to be not running all fourteen pharmacies the same way. Theirs only two partners Dr. Byron Chasi and Dr. Martha Yugcha each one of them has four pharmacies then two are franchised from Dr. Martha and the resting four are franchised from Dr. Byron Chasi. They don’t run the same inventory or stock room. When ordering from the suppliers they order separate. And when Dr. Byron passes along the flyer for Saturday’s mega sales Dr. Martha doesn’t want to do it for the same products.
Another weakness is not being able to find the correct staff to hire. Since they don’t have a human resource department Dr. Martha is the one who interviews and goes over the resumes. She used to hire people that didn’t have a pharmaceutical background, but after a while, she noticed that sales would go down or they would take too long to learn where the medicine was placed along with the names. That why theirs shortage of personnel because of the lack of experience people

The drop-off stage has a major problem for nobody watching in-store drop-off window. This problem will cause the decrease of customer’s satisfaction because customers cannot drop off their scripts and make the requested pickup time at that time and also waste customer’s valuable time.
