The NFL has crossed a line with it's archaic medicinal marijuana policy and are contributing to the opioid epidemic. The NFL has suspended Buffalo Bills offensive lineman, Seantrel Henderson, for 10 games following a third failed drug test for marijuana. Now Seantrel Henderson's story is not your typical failed drug test story. He has Crohns disease and has had two intestinal surgeries this year. His doctors say he can't take normal pain medicine because of the condition of his stomach and intestines are in.
Reuben is a clever student who has achieved some reasonable results this year for Digital Technologies. His grades do not accurately reflect his true potential, but rather his effort. He was happy to just get passing grades, but he is far more capable and could be truly talented in this area of study, especially
Demaryius Thomas had more reason to celebrate other than just defeating the Pittsburgh Steelers on January 17. His mother, Katina Smith was present during the game and for the first time ever, she get to see her son play and take the NFL playoff victory.
In July 2016, Ezekiel Elliott, running back of the Dallas Cowboys, was accused by his ex-girlfriend of physically attacking her several times, including pushing her into a wall. This woman posted several photos on social media of bruises on her body that she claimed were made by Elliot during the attacks. Although no charges were pressed and he was not arrested, the NFL conducted an investigation on Elliott and the alleged abuse over the following year; after a thorough thirteen - month long investigation, he was officially suspended by the NFL on August 11 for six games. Michael Vick shouldn’t be allowed back in the NFL because of his crimes including dog fighting. The article I read said “ The people running the NFL don’t care about animals, second chances, or doing the right thing.” This shows that the NFL just wants to give themselves a brighter image. The article also said “During his “60 Minutes” interview, Vick seemed remorseful about having gotten caught, rather than remorse for what he actually did.” This showed that Michael Vick was only sorry that he got caught instead of what he did. The final thing the article said “He doesn’t belong back in the NFL. As an abuser of innocent creatures who just want to be our friends, this man doesn’t deserve to be in a position to make millions of dollars again.”
What can you say about Terrell Owens? As you stated, he is one of the most talented receivers to ever play professional football, however, his attitude and personality make it to where his talent does not mean as much. His relationship with reports, former teammates, coaches, and other players both past and present around the league have caused many to not want to associate with him. This year Terrell Owens was eligible to be inducted to the hall of fame for the first time. Typically, an individual with his statistics would be voted into the hall of fame in his first year, however, many are theorizing that he did not receive the honor yet due to his sour relationship with many of the voting members.

The Jonathan Alder football team finished their regular season on Friday, October 28 with a victory against their conference rivals from Fairbanks. Despite that the final margin of victory sat at just 14 points, the Pioneers manhandled the Panthers for much of the game. Alder headed to the locker room for halftime winning the game 35 to 7. Their offense was headed by touchdown receptions from junior quarterback Preston Eisnaugle to senior fullback Hunter Maynard and junior receiver Dalton Potts. Rushing touchdowns from junior running back Jamie Dye and senior fullback Austin Fooce, who ended the first half by bulldozing the Panther’s defense for his second score of the game, also added to Alder’s offensive production. Dye would finish the game
It may seem overly simplified and obvious to state that player evaluation is critical in generating success and wins on the football field. A coach may have the greatest “system” and an amazing game plan laid out but, without the right players in the right positions the only thing a coach will collect are losses. This is true of coaching recreational and youth football through the professional ranks. Player evaluation is not only about addressing the physical skills needed for specific positions but, it is also about plugging in the right players who posses the temperament and character to lead the team in all critical situations on the field.
