This issue was expressed by the retail units as there was storage problem. And the given the size Class B, Class C stores face problem. I managed to push these chocolates by using sale promotion techniques. I placed the product and told the retailer that if the product was not purchased by the customers in 3 months span I would take back the stock. Liquid Creamer: This was also a new product launched by Amul. This product was meant to be used in hotel rooms while preparing Tea/Coffee. Amul had a similar product in powder form. Liquid creamer is a unique product and has no competitors. It is priced at Rs 2/piece Amul Creamer Powder is priced at 80Paise/piece. Nestle is a competitor for Creamer powder priced at Rs1/piece. I made a list of Hotels in the city and visited along with the TSI. Following Response I got when I introduced the product • Taj Gateway Chef expressed the concern that the product could not be kept in the present tray design. • Most of the Chef and Purchase manager found that it was overpriced and there is a possibility of the spilling of milk when opening the cover .In case of powder if 2 sachets were used than the total price would be Rs 1.6 in case of Liquid Creamer it would be Rs 4. Amul does not employ any merchandisers but insists the work to be executed by the salesman. Most of the salesman skip this work because if they spend time doing the work they won’t be able to complete the beat. Few of tasks I performed were: • Inventory: Ensured that adequate stocks of all Amul products and pack range in order to stack the unit(Visi Cooler/Display Rack/Deep Freezer). Low stock would invariably result into stock outs and shifting to other brands. • Location: Eye level must be met and areas where consumers spend maximum time. • Stock rotation: Consumers look for product with maximum freshness therefore there is a need for special emphasis on stock rotation of products with the retailer • Label facing: All the products should have trademarks/labels facing consumer.
