When reviewing the program cost and time frame there are two options the organization can go with on the tuition reimbursement program. The first is a longer lower cost program from Eastern Oregon University, the total cost of the program is $18,275.00 and takes approximately 30 months for the employee to finish. The benefit for this program is the lighter course study that is extended out for 2.5 years. This is the best option in controlling cost as it cost are less and are spread as seen in Table1. In this program, after the second year there are six employees in various stages of the program, as seen in Table 2. The potential drawback to this is the time management and tracking of these employees in the various stages of the program. Another drawback is the length of time it will take to have employee receive their MBA. This would be a good program for long range labor …show more content…
Additionally, job forecasting would be vital in deciding when these management position would become available. The second option, would be the accelerated 18-month program with Marylhurst University for $30,144.00. The benefits for this program is the shorter timeframe for completion in the MBA program. The advantage would be MBA graduates available to fill organization openings sooner. The drawback would be the cost and time management. Do to the accelerated program the employees would need to study more as the course material is more condensed. Furthermore, the cost is more as seen in Table1, and in this program from year 2 on there are two employees starting and within six months two employees graduating from the MBA program. This means that after year one two employees will be ready for management positions within six month, as seen in Table 2. Each program has its advantages; this depends upon the rate of the organization expansion and it’s need for managers with MBA’s to
The following report was helping us explore why we should expanding employee benefits with in this he company. We had a good year but without a good year it would benefit the company so adding tuition reimbursement as an employee benefit would be great. It would help the employees working on their degree in business or communication as they are working for us so this can be a positive in more than one way showing we care about their interest expand their career by going back to school. The company is in the perfect position to proceed with the education reimbursement employee benefit due to the fact that
Southern University A&M College welcomed Dr. J.S. Clark as the new African American leader and president in 1914 after the big move. As Dr. Clark as president, he made numerous improvements on campus and off campus. He established a Junior College, teacher-training curriculum, Agricultural Extension Program, a summer normal school, six brick buildings for instructional activities, five brick dormitories, and eleven wooden structures for the faculties. Before his retirement came, he funded money from the government to build a library, a football stadium, an administration building, a gymnasium, and additional dormitories. During this time period, Felton G. Clark, J.S. Clark only son, was one of Southern’s most promising
Two specific groups that I identify with as part of my decision to attend Columbia Southern University is based on my family and work. As an individual my choice to attend is based on my own desire to achieve a higher education in order to obtain a job that is satisfactory to the life and goals I have mapped out for myself. By having a job for which I have specifically attended school for, it will allow me to get and sustain a career conducive to my own happiness and prosperity. While my own individual choice to attend school is great, I have a family that encouraged me greatly in this decision. Both my mother and father, between the two, have a Master’s degree in criminal justice, and a Bachelor's degree in paramedic studies. Naturally

Speaker Ryan has proposed freezing Pell Grants at their current levels for ten years and would eliminate the mandatory spending funds of the program. Do you support this or other proposals to reduce per student Pell?
From the financial aspect, the opportunity cost of taking MBA program will keep increasing as his
No Professor Tucker, I do not think it contradicts at all. :-) My first sentence is stating that the government should offer optional health coverage for those that are unable to afford it otherwise. Just as things like Pell Grants are optional for those that would like to take advantage of higher education they would not have otherwise been able to afford, I feel similar things should be in place regarding health care. Not a federal government mandate for

and by accepting and receiving a closed school loan discharge, I have no further obligation to repay the loan, and I will receive a reimbursement of payments made voluntarily or through forced collection, and the discharge will be reported to credit bureaus so as to delete any adverse credit history associated with the loan.
Some company pays educational institutions directly for expensive, intense training programs that require payment up front (O’Reilly, Brendan 2001). Today, nearly 15 percent of our domestic workforce is enrolled in college and university coursework, more than half seeking advanced degrees. Our participation rates are three times the national average for companies with similar programs. And, participants' retention rate is double that of all employees (Cassidy, John F. 2004).
Interesting post! I get what you’re saying about the skilled nurses being overworked and most are put in specialties where there is no wiggle room for certified nursing assistants; because they would have the have the specialty training as well. Sometimes you luck up and find an employer that will pay the tuition reimbursement to further your education, but when that happens this still hurts the retention process because the demand is landing a position with growth potential.
Working with the Riverfront company for years, has been rewarding for all of us, as the company provides all the support that we need to accomplish the job.
FYI…here are the student figures that have been shared with the FinAid Staff related to the Pell disbursement issue (see the attached emails). Furthermore, an example of a student whose refund “has not been reversed” is attached. Apparently, only direct deposits have been reversed, not checks to students. This student is going to owe a balance (see Pell Issues Examples).
The MBA program was introduced for the first time in the United States in the early 20 th Century and was modeled on the basis of the prevalent 2-year graduate programs. It gained significant traction after its inception, however was later criticized for its lack of practical relevance. It was often said that “MBA was too academic, too theoretical and divorced from real-life business practice.”1 Business school subsequently responded by improving quality of teaching and content. The first year was dedicated to
There is a State University video and it seems cool. It offers a lot of majors and the school is nearby the house. One time he visited the school and has a tour with his parents. There is one tour guide that assist them to the whole University and it seems that he doesn’t know what he’s doing and they wasn’t able to complete the tour. And when they go to the gigantic lecture hall the lights are off and the tour guide can’t find the switch to turn the
