Their are many dog and cat people but you should get a dog. There are many reasons why you should get dog then a cat. Dogs can help you stay fit. They help you make new friends. My last reason is that they can be service dogs.

Whether it is an inside cuddle buddy, or an outside mice killer, cats make wonderful pets. While dogs stay dirty, drool, and bark, cats clean themselves, are clean animals, and meow quietly. Cats are warm and fuzzy and love to cuddle while they take naps. Dogs are too rambunctious and energetic. Cats make better pets than dogs.

There are between 45 to 55 million dogs per household in America (American Humane Association 2012). Furthermore, according to a national survey, the majority of dog owners chose to get a dog for the companionship as the major reason for having a dog (American Animal Hospital Association, 2004). After all, dogs are nonjudgmental, give unconditional love, can be trusted with our most intimate feelings and emotions, and are highly intelligent. These dog characteristics can significantly enhance the lives of thousands of youth and adults, especially those with disabilities and/or those who live in continuing care facilities. There are approximately 20,000 service dogs in the U.S., which includes 10,000 guide dogs (American Humane Association 2012)

A person is thinking of getting a pet to be his companion and to entertain his kids, but he has encountered a predicament: they choose a mediocre feline or a magnificent canine. While there are many advantages of each option, the dog is a better option for companionship, protection, and loyalty.

The cats versus dogs debate is probably as old as the existence of early canines and ancient felines. Dog owners have long argued that dogs are better pets, but me, as a cat owner, beg to differ, and here’s why.

They are also terribly ungrateful, showing no thankfulness whatsoever if they are given special treatment of some sort. As mentioned before cats do not require cleaning nor exercising or training, while dogs are in need of all these things. and self sufficient? It is undeniable that cats are way better than dogs. Cats can lick themselves clean, and they make little to no messes whereas dogs slobber everywhere and need to be given a bath. Dogs also take forever to train and have a shorter life expectancy than cats while cats take less time to train and will be around longer. Wouldn’t you rather spend less time training your animal and have more time with them? Not to mention, dogs can be a pain to take on walks, but cats use the litter box without any assistance. Dogs are also a lot louder than cats and definitely more frightening. More people are scared of stray dogs than of stray cats. Do you really want a dog that will be loud and obnoxious and scare off your guests? With all these reasons it’s hard to deny that cats are tremendously better than dogs.

People can either be a cat person or a dog person. Cats and dogs are unique creatures yet they are the two most common household animals. I am definitely a dog person. I love dogs. I think everyone should have a dog. They’re great pets. Dogs are fun and a lot of work but it sure is worth it. Cats, on the other hand, I don’t care for. I had a cat when I was only about one year old and she got run over by a car. Ever since then my family has had a dog. Maybe if I had a cat when I was growing up I would like them more.

Having a pet is a wonderful idea. Pets bring companionship, personality, and gut wrenching humor to households across the world. Having previously owned both a cat and a dog, and currently being without a pet, I began to think about getting a new furry friend. On the other hand, there are some great differences between cats and dogs. The first difference that can be easy to notice is that dogs are pack animal and cats are more of lone. As a pack animal, dogs like a social and gregarious life. They love company; they will never feel bored if one spends a lot of time with them. They do not like being isolated out of community; generally, they like to follow their owner to wherever. In contrast, a cat is a solitary creature, hunting alone. Cat loves to spend lots of time alone, like sleeping in the warm sunlight by itself, solitary wail, and so on.
