Deadly, or Useful? Cell Phones are Ruining Humanity.
You're walking down the road to your house from the bus stop. What do you see? The group of fellow classmates in a circle still at the bus stop, texting on their phones. A biker checking her Instagram as she swerves out of the way of a lawn mower as the man behind it is snapping pictures while he forgets to turn off the lawn mower and crashes into a wall. What do you really see? You see the slow, internal takeover of cell phones. Although other people might say that cell phones are good and useful, but they really don't do anything but bad. Cell phones do a lot of damage even when you can't see or feel them. The problems range from personal health to just everyday life. In other words, cell phones are dangerous; but what exactly makes them the monsters as I described?
First radiofrequency radiation, RFR, which is emitted from the cell phones can cause cancer and other health issues (Karaca). Health issues with cell phones have been debated since the cell phone was made. Other electrical items related to cell phones all have RFR, but all of them emit it safely even back to 1893. This also tells us that cell phones safely use RFR. But (IARC) is aware of cell phones being "possibly carcinogenic to humans” which means that RFR has some chance of generating cancer cells

But these problems only happen if people use them 24/7. These things can be lethal on some ways. Like RF radiation, bad eye sight and deafness, and even cancer and brain tumors are all things that can happen. This piece tells us a lot about cellphones and helps determine the bad things in cell phones. Know that this world can change a ton with people having awareness of cellphones. We can see that cell phones are like a drug. People begin to use it, and just can't stop, even if people know it hurts
dy that shows the brain is sensitive to the phone's radiation emissions”(1) He also says that he would performer texting over calling. I will use this article to show ways that a cellphone can be dangerous due to all the chemical and equipment it uses and how it can affect our human bodies.
First, they have many sneers on mankind’s health. They may cause brain damage if they are not properly used. For instance, sleeping beside a cell phone may kill the brain cells that are responsible of the concentration part. Moreover, speaking in the phone while charging may cause a heart attack and dangerous disease and may lead to death. In addition, those people think also that the cell phones are a waste of time. It is a source of spending a lot of times in unimportant things as social media and games and other applications. Beside this, those peoples approve that cell may be a hinder to a successful education. For example, they act as a catalyst in the less improvement of students in their education due to the various times they spent on it and avoid studying. In my option, I wholeheartedly agree that cell phones are not causing disease if they are used properly without any exceed in their usage. To avoid cell phones diseases some advices are taking in consideration in their utilization. The most important advice is to never use the cell phones or touch them while being charging. Rather than this, cell phones don’t have any precursor that helps in causing health problem. In addition, cell phones are not a waste of time due to their role in our life in gaining information and being secured. The mobile phones are the first source of knowledge that is always present in peoples hands , thus , they allow people to access information easily. Also, they are a source of security, they allows people to call each other’s and feeling safe. Therefore, cell phones are not a waste of time is they are used in a flourishing
As the world grows larger, society is adding more technology. Cell phones have taken over the lives of many people. In most cases, people are either using their phones to pay bills, use social media, or to talk to someone in a quick way. Children have been impacted by cell phones along with adults. The users of cell phones have become blind to the negative effects that they have on a person’s health and attitude. The use of cell phones can greatly affect social skills, cause the development of hearing and eye problems, and cause an increase in stress levels.
Albeit pragmatic, cell phones have become overused, resulting in several major issues in our society. Everyone from kids in grade school to elders in nursing homes own a cell phone. They are becoming more common in our society each year. We have begun overusing our cell phones. Many people are even becoming addicted to their cell phone (South University). People are refusing to put their cell phones down, even when they are driving. In 2015, 3,477 people died and 391,000 people were injured, all from people driving while distracted by their cell phones. More than 650,000 people even admitted to being on
“Your Phone Could Ruin Your Life” There are many benefits of modern technology. However, digital distraction can be harmful, both mentally and physical. In the article, “Your Phone Could Ruin Your Life” by Kristen Lewis she states there are positive and negative things about electronic devices in the world we live in today. There are some really bad things that could kill you. In the text, it says “3 kids have already died because of cell phone use that was inappropriate” (Lewis 6).
The cell phone industry, of course, says that there is products are safe. “The significant weight of the evidence demonstrates that radiofrequency energy in mobile phones poses no credible health risks,” says Motorola spokeswoman Paula Thornton Greer.
-Some people have claimed that phones could be the cause of cancer and other sicknesses, especially for kids.
It influence individual on their body health. Just as Gigi Starr said in his article, Cell phones bring low-level radiation but it still can cause tumor to grow.(Starr). It’s a very serious conflict because nowaday lots of people get tumor because of radioactive stuffs such as TV, medical equipment, Cigarettes. It’s worse if someone have tumor and still addicted to use phone. It will increase the growing speed of the tumor. Although the radiation on the cell phone is small but if we keep staring at it 24/7. The radioactive will still get to you. Also cell phones change our way to communicate because we use the internet language. Gigi Starr claimed that, ”These days, it's a common sight to see people write "LOL" or "srsly" instead of expressing themselves through fully realized action and language.”(Starr). People started to not using the formal language and it’s not good because English is a big language. If it changes, people that learn it will get confused. English is a useful language and we shouldn’t make it become the “internet”
Thesis: The usage of cell phones in modern day society has caused quite the problem for citizens in this generation by being a major distraction, causing addictions, and has sadly became the main resource of communication.
The opponent, Erdreich, states that research has proven that cell phone usage is not dangerous. Erdreich begins her statement by saying that cell phones use radio waves, similar to television, baby monitors, microwaves, and of course, the radio. These waves are of lower energy and frequency than the waves required to produce radiation. The lower frequency radio waves are unable to cause DNA mutation, which is what causes
Nowadays, the majority of the world’s population owns a cellphone, but with the capabilities and resources this has allowed us there have been fears over potential hazards caused by this new technology, the most common theory being that heavy cellphone usage causes cancer. But are such fears rational? Various reports and scientific studies have produced a range of findings over the years. It seems with a lack of verifiable research, we’ve lacked a concrete answer. Recent scientific studies have told a different story; there’s little to no sufficient scientific evidence to suggest that cellphones cause cancer.
Did you know that the cancer government, the federal communications commission’s says that hundreds of millions of Americans uses cell phones, and cell phones can cause you to have brain tumors? Did you also know that both adults and children spend most of their time on phone? When using your phone, it might give you a neck problem because in respect to cancer, concern focuses on whether cell phones might increase the risk of brain tumors in the head and neck area. But let me tell you something, as many of us use our phones daily, do we ever stop and think it might affect our body? No because we are so into social media and playing games that we don’t have time to think that it’s going to affect us. People say that phones are safe and other say they aren’t. I say that they can be safe at some time it can also depend what you do, and how long you use it for. Therefore, many of us get distracted easily and it’s pretty hard to get back on track. In 1973, the first portable cell phone was discovered, due to the cause that cell phones may not be safe at some time cell phones are also very important because in case of an emergency you will have a device with you.
Cell phones have been a major part of everyday life by helping people connect with each other instantaneously. Even though cell phones and their benefits are easy to recognize, the safety of cell phone use has been debated because of the safety of the cell phone radiation. The safety of cell phone radiation that is emitted from cell phones is a controversial topics, debating claims such as whether it has a correlation with cancer or tumors, if children are affected by it more than adults are, and by whether or not it is safe cannot be decided because of how recent the adoption of cell phones are (procon.org).
Cell Phones are a growing trend around the world, but we do not know much about the health risks associated with them. Many children, students, and adults use their phones frequently, and there could be many growing common risks developing that we are unaware of. Cell Phones are a recent invention that has brought people together all around the world and mostly beneficial but are associated to some dangers. Using cell phones has effects on interpersonal relationships, driving skills, and individual health.
Cellphones have become increasingly popular through the years. When I was twelve, I was not allowed to have a cell phone. Now you see children with cell phones everywhere starting at the age of ten. Cellphones have become so advanced that you literally have everything you need right in your pocket. One must wonder though, is this advanced piece of technology beneficial or deadly?
