Change In Life After People And The Starry Night

In almost all stories, the main character or characters usually have many personal experiences that change their views in one way or another. Three good examples of this are Abuela Invents the Zero ,Little Women ,and Home .One of these stories has one major experience that quickly affects that character's views. Another story includes many small events and moments that in the end affect a certain character's views and habits. The last story shows how previous life experiences turnout to not only not benefit but actually hurt. Notice that there can be many different kinds of situations that have an influence on a character and can change a character for better or for worse.

In the book World Without Us, author Alan Weisman talks about what would happen to the natural and built environment we’ve established if humans suddenly disappeared. In Chapter two, Unbuilding Our Home, Weisman effectively informs his readers of the total control that nature has on our society by describing the immediate effect it takes on our own homes. He forces the readers to recognize that we coexist with nature yet nature has the upper hand on man-made objects. Weisman achieves this by targeting the reader’s emotions through description and personification and by providing insight that appeals to the reader’s intellect of the future.

Characters change in good ways and the book itself shows the readers how something terrible changes people, even real life. Parents will always say to their little children “little things matter so help”, Mrs.Reffel, also they would told them in desperate measures help anyone that needs it. In The Killing Sea, Sarah was a little brat, she thought that she was the center of attention and didn’t care about anyone, only herself. When the disaster hit Indonesia, where she went for vacation, something in her says, “We need to change to survive”. Sometimes the world needs to lose something valuable to know they have a lot things that they do not say “Thank you” for. Sarah lost her mom, after she saw her mom dead, she changed. She helped Peter and a whole lot of strangers, and when they were going to a conference to know her story, she decided to wear a scarf, because where she is that is their tradition. Remember that you don’t need to lose something that is important in your life to change and help other

Individuality is the supreme catalyst that guides people to feel self-worth and become emboldened in their pursuits. It is the mentality that gives humans clarity and uniqueness that make the world interesting. It is what allows each person to be respected in his/her own way. In the stories Night and Persepolis, the motif of individuality is emphatically expressed. It is portrayed as essential to the hope of the masses. When individuality is suppressed people lose virtues/self respect/humanity, motivation/will to live and faith. In essence, they give up the idea of anything else except their suffering. As thousands die, the protagonists (of Night and Persepolis)

While reading the books, Left to Tell by Immaculee Ilibagiza, and Night by Elie Wiesel, the similarity in person was very prominent. Noticing how closely related these two authors were in their time of struggle and how they conquered their struggles to become survivors. Family, personality, religion, and lifestyle all played separate parts in the story which were told. Though these authors share many similarities, there are still a few ways they differ in the events they were exposed to.

What would life be like if people didn't undergo change? Many opportunities happen in life because of adjustments people make for themselves. In the short stories "Mirror Image" by Lena Coakley and "Saturday Climbing" by W.D. Valgardson the protagonists Alice and Barry both have struggles with the major changes happening in their life. Throughout their stories, they become less pessimistic, they adress their problems and they gain a newfound confidence and trust in others. Change can be extremely difficult, but its a necessary step towards a positive life.

In all stories there is someone who changes after something happens and it turns them into someone they aren't. An example is a person turn into someone you never expected them to be because they are hiding themselves. Its also important to think before everything you do because the aftermath can be unreal. The characters in the“ Possibility of Evil” by Shirley Jackson and the short story,” Lamb to the Slaughter” by Roald Dahl could have learned their lessons. In the story, “ Possibility of Evil” Miss.Strangeworth takes her hate out to an family by writing letters to them. In “Lamb to the Slaughter” Mary makes a bad decision after finding out her husband is leaving her. These stories tell the reader that people around you have a side they don't show, but sooner or later it will come out of them.

As opposed to positive, change can be negative, negative change can influence the other people around you and change them as well. In the novel, John Barton dies; this death negatively influences the people close to him like Josie. Before John dies, Josie has a crush on him and says to us, ‘Picture this. School Captain of St Anthony’s. Son of a member of Parliament. Greatest debater who ever lived. Good looking.

There have been five major mass extinction on earth triggered by a distinguishable event, but in The Sixth Extinction: An Unnatural History, Elizabeth Kolbert writes of the narrative of the sixth extinction caused directly by human impact. The book identifies the effects of human activity on how, over humans history on earth, the natural world has been affected. Every environmental impact stems into three basic groups of global problems to nature: Pollution, Habitat loss and Invasive Species. Kolbert explains that each impact can be traced back to one source, human industrial development. With each impact various types of life in the natural world are affected. Deforestation, urbanization, and sea level rise contribute to habitat loss worldwide. When humans began to travel they also brought invasive species and disease along with them; as boats only became bigger more and more invasive species travel. This reverse engineering of the planet species, brings new species that don’t have any natural predators, thus having an easier time driving native species out to endangerment or extinction. The different outcomes that come from human pollution is separated throughout the book, but the idea remains constant; with the development of human culture, pollution has drastically impacted a vast extent of species habitats and their environment.

Humanity is an essential part in Night. Abundant of humanity were written in this book. Mostly, the book was written by two sides. One is instinctive, which describes how crazy characters were dazzled by desire. For instance, the desire of food, warmness and better living condition. However, a few people could not get through those difficulties, neither could Eliezer’s father. Another aspect is sensual, she wrote the relationship between Eliezer and his family, sometime his friends also, such as how they helped each other out.

Change is often viewed as a chance for people to live a new life and improve themselves. Yet, many others see change as a negative thing because of how it affects them and others around them. The novel, “Night” by Elie Wiesel, and the novella, “The Metamorphosis” by Franz Kafka, display examples of how change is most commonly viewed negatively. Change is often viewed negatively because of the aftereffects,the effects on others, and the difficulties adapting to the change. First of all, change is often viewed as something negative because of the aftereffects it has on the person.

Human nature can be analyzed through feelings, characteristics, and behavior. Humans are capable of expressing different emotions such as hate, frustration, remorse, happiness and other emotions depending on the situation they are encountering.Various aspects of human nature can be observed through many forms of media. Often times humans are portrayed in a negative way, however there are certain cases where they are portrayed positively, like in the memoir Night by Elie Wiesel. Evil acts, discrimination towards others, and perseverance for survival, are all apart of human nature.

NightJohn changed people’s life in a big way and he was a great leader. He could help people and wouldn’t be afraid to do no matter if he was risking his life. He didn’t care if he would get hurt doing it, his goal was just to teach people how to write and read. He never let anybody down no matter if he would get in trouble he would not care. He would always help others before helping himself. NightJohn was a very brave man and back then everybody was afraid to speak up but he wasn’t.
