Literature Review According to Phipps, Prieto, & Ndinguri (2013), implementing change requires individuals to embrace new behaviors in order to affect the desired results. These changes may include changing behaviors, changing the resources used to acquire information, learning practices, and overall attitudes associated with your work facility. Organizations that take the time to foster an atmosphere where employees work together toward a common goal, offer the employees the proper training as well as pay compensation for work performed the company is rewarded with happier employees, more productivity, and increased profits. This would also include the idea of organizations offering positive feedback, appreciation given to employees for a job well done, as well as offering proper training to allow employees to perform their jobs are all a large part of employee involvement which is how most employees positively respond to having a proper work environment and training. In theory keep in mind most employees spend a considerable amount of time at work, or traveling to work, therefore it would make sense that they would respond to and enjoy an environment where they feel appreciated as a part of the bigger long-term picture. In return, it is just as important for an organization to help employees feel at ease, appreciated, and significant to the future of the company in order to help with employee retention, employee involvement, and employee long-term commitment making both the company and the employee a stronger team when they work together also known as social identity theory (SIT). In my personal/business life including my education through Columbia Southern University in that it would be easy to just go through the motions in order to pass a class, receive a decent grade, receive course credit, and obtain a degree. However there is a significant difference when commit to your education , decide to get involved in the process of your education, thereby increasing the value of all degrees at Columbia Southern University. In my private personal life it is no different in that a commitment to my family, home, friends, and self are all a part of a trying to succeed in whatever you decide to do whether it is marriage, raising kids, having great friends, or being a good person in general the steps are all the same, you get out of anything what you put into it, and if you commit, gain as much knowledge as you can, and work with the other parties then you will obtain your desired goals.
