Being a great engineering student is the key to success. A world class engineering student is one step ahead of that. Being a world class engineering student comes with many capabilities and qualities. It is an overall image of a great engineering student. To be a world class engineering student you must understand what it takes to succeed. Working well in a team is a great way to start. If a student can work well in a team them will be very successful. Most engineers work in teams to this very day. Not only will you work in a team once you become an engineer but having a study group will help tremendously. It will allow like minded students to get together and work hard to achieve the task at hand. A world class engineering student will realize their strengths and weaknesses. They will hit their strong points and strive to improve their weaknesses. A world class engineering student will also have great time management skills. Students won’t wait until the last minute to do a project and risk a bad grade. They will start off working on bits and pieces at a time. Time management is the key to success for many students. This along with all the other qualities listed will make a world class engineering student. Goal setting is a major part of being successful. It gives you something to strive for. A world class engineering student would want to have long term and short-term goals. This would give a student something to work hard for and allow them to see progress. The would know exactly what to have set for themselves. The goals would be realistic and challenging that would push them further and to have a positive affect on them. I set goals for myself but overall, I need to set more. I have semester long goals which are great but weekly goals would also be beneficial to me. I have trouble setting goals mainly because I don’t see the big picture. I know I want a great gpa and graduate on time but setting goals to get there has never really benefited me. I’m sure if I set weekly goals such as wanting to get an a on a test or challenging myself to learn more than what is expected would help. I still would have trouble because in my opinion everyone strives to accomplish these things. College is all about this in
