Our poll was to ask people their favorite fast food restaurant. We thought that out of Chick-fil-a, Zaxby’s, McDonald's, and Wendy’s the most popular would be Chick-fil-a. We also thought that McDonald's would be the least voted for. Chick-fil-a was the most voted for because “The chicken is high quality and delicious” (Murray, Gavin. Personal interview. 3 September 2015.). Zaxby’s was the next most voted for by the reason of it being “ the most tasteful” (Do, Anh. Personal interview. 3 September 2015.). Wendy’s was voted 3rd most due to it being “Cheaper but is still tasty” (Giordano, Vince. Personal interview. 3 September 2015.). McDonald's was voted for the least but was still said to be “ Delicious!” (Roshak, Joseph. Personal interview.
What do you typically order when dining at McDonald’s or Wendy’s? When I am having a meal from either place, my favorite choice is a fried chicken sandwich with lettuce, tomato, bacon and extra mayo. Sometimes, I may make it a combo and enjoy the greasy, salty french fries and an ice cold soft drink. Most of their customers often purchase the unhealthiest options because they feel as if that is what fast food is all about, right? Fortunately, it does not have to be that way. Fast food can be convenient and nutritious. Wendy’s and McDonald’s are both fast food restaurants, so they are alike in many

It’s in our culture in America to expect fast food companies to market and strategize their ways to make us, the consumers, to buy more food and consume more food so they can make more profit. It’s thriving so much, the industry is growing faster than the U.S economy, at a 3 percent rate compared to a 2.6 percent rate for the economy (Fickenscher). Age is also an important factor considering targeting a specific age group, especially the youth in America. Young people have more ability to go out to eat than old people do. When I was eight years old, I ate at Chick Fil A for the first time. In a hurry, I remember rushing to get to the football game I had to cheer at. My family and I decided to quickly stop off for a bite to eat. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and a cheerful “Welcome to Chick Fil A.” After explaining that this was our first time, the lady kindly helped out and suggested the kid’s meal for me, and a grilled chicken sandwich for my parents. Not even 5 minutes had passed, and the same lady delivered our food to the table. For a fast food restaurant, the food was freshly prepared, at just the right temperature, and tasted absolutely delicious.

One day last week I decided to take a trip over to Chick-Fil-A in Ridley, PA. It was about five minutes away from my house and I was craving some type of chicken. The two deciding factors which helped my decision is that it was fast and easy. I went with a friend and we decided to sit down to eat as opposed to going through the drive thru. The employee who took my order was very polite and after ordering she had said “my pleasure”. I noticed this was the norm after numerous employees said the same to my friend. Although they are likely told to say this, it was a sincere gesture. I ordered a 12 piece chicken nugget meal which came with fries and a drink, and a chicken sandwich. After my first bite I was immediately amazed by the food and enjoyed my meal.
Fast food is a growing complication in the United States and is getting worse every year. On average, the average American spends an estimated $1,200 on fast food each year. Children consume an estimated 12 percent of their calories from eating fast food every year. Some that should be considered include “Fed Up”, “Food Inc.”, and the book Fast Food Nation. There is one source that should be considered when choosing one’s food and that had influenced my way of thinking about the food around me the most and what I will and will not eat now. “Fed Up” is one of them element that should be considered and thought about when someone is choosing their food.
Americans live in an “on the go” type world; with the fastest and newest technology, easy to access internet sites, faster fuel-efficient automobiles, and even a quicker way to pick up a family dinner. Since the nineteen-fifties, companies began developing fast food chains, the first became the famous McDonald's. Currently a fast food restaurant can be found on every corner in a developed city. Every famous drive-thru restaurant was developed by American companies, due to the fact that America is known as the fastest and busiest country in the world. With the current fast-paced country, hard-working Americans cannot find the time to cook or go to the grocery stores. Therefore, Americans tend to prefer buying food from fast food chains because
"Fast food is popular because it's convenient, it's cheap, and it tastes good. But the real cost of eating fast food never appears on the menu," was said by Eric Schlosser. Several people in America have become dependent on fast foods. How many of the people who eat this food truly understand what is in the food or how it was made? Others don't think about it, since within ordering, three minutes later a customer can pull up to the window, pay, and pick up the food. It is quick and cheap. The United States has become dependent on fast foods for the reason that they are everywhere, however the consequences of these facilities have brought health issues and closing of community restaurants.
In contrast to some peoples’ way of thinking that this kind of food chain is somewhat “first world-ish,” the shop’s menu offers wide variety food choices that are budget-friendly and satisfying for the customers’ taste buds. By all means, McDonalds can be a favorite food chain of all time. Or I must say one of the peoples’ choice.
Besides the fact food preparation is fast, every year thousands of commercials can be seen on TV. According to Spurlock, on average a single person watches about 10,000 different commercials per year, most of them being junk or fast food products. These influential commercials broadcast smart slogans and offer cheap food to attract customers. In a recent survey, at the Brea Mall Food Court, when asked if they ate on a daily basis, 28 % of males said yes, while 25% of women said they too ate out daily. A surprising portion of people, 30% said they enjoyed the taste and quality, while majority about 46% said there was no time to cook at home because of work or hectic schedules. With so many great food specials and a plethora of commercials, its no wonder Americans turn to fast food for meals. Fast food is practical, quick, and reasonably cheap, though unhealthy many seem to no care.
“To better understand consumer preferences in fast food products and the services provided by Wendy’s and the industry as a whole’”
In today’s society, Americans want everything quick and cost-effective, so the question stands what is a quick lunch for an economical price? Americans live in a world that surrounds them with a variety of fast food restaurants; such as, McDonald’s and Checkers two of the most well-known fast food restaurants. Far from what we imagined, McDonald’s and Checkers have a vast distinction of uniqueness. Most people perceive them as the same fast food restaurant with distinctive names. For this reason, people debate on which one of them is the superior restaurant and which one is the more economical restaurant. Even though, both McDonald’s and Checkers have equivalence, their distinctions become undeniable when we analyze McDonald’s quality of service, value meals, and family friendly environment.
