How Child Labor Could Benefit Canada
Our economy today is highly dependent on other countries for imports of goods. In order to make Canada a self-sufficient country we would need to lower our amount of imports. To do this we would need to create the goods needed within Canada that we would otherwise have had to import from China or the United States. And the only possible way to do this is to open factories all over Canada. And the only possible way to do that is if we can find the workers to work in them. The most logical answer is to motion child labor in Canada.
You now may be asking “what even is child labor?”(rhetorical question) Child labour can be seen as when children under the age of fourteen are working full time and thus depriving them of a proper education, damaging the health and or well-being of the child for little or no pay. Who really cares? Honestly, this hardly even happens in Canada. Child labor mostly happens in the countries with high amounts of poverty. According to some statistics only two hundred and eighteen million children of the ages five to seventeen are currently involved in child labour worldwide today. Children are much more energetic and willing to be brainwashed into thinking that it is okay! Also, there bones are not fully developed so if they were to get injured they would heal much quicker and would be able to begin working again much sooner than any adult worker. By being able to hire children and pay them half minimum wage the economy would show immense improvement. Companies would be able to open bigger factories while still being able to find the workers to do the labour. This would especially help in Canada. As of now the imports made by Canada have reached a new high. Child labour would allow Canadians to make more of their own goods and decrease the amount of imports Canada makes from
