China also called the People’s Republic of China (PRC) is located in East Asia. China is the world’s third largest nation. With a land, area of over 3 million square miles and population estimated to be over 1.3 billion people. China has over one-fifth of the world’s population. It boarders thirteen countries, some of those countries include Russia and Mongolia to the north and to the south are Myanmar Laos and Vietnam. The climate is very diverse, with tropical climates in the south and subarctic in the north. The lands in the west mostly consist of mountains, high plateaus, and desert. The eastern areas have plains, deltas and hills. The highest point is Mount Everest. Mount Everest is on the border between Tibet and Nepal. Mount Everest is also the tallest mountain in the world. The longest river in China is the Yangtze. It forms the dividing line between north and south China. The country divided into two regions referred to Inner China and Outer China. The Great Wall, built in the fifteenth century to protect against a military invasion, has been the country is dividing characteristic. While the both areas are mostly equal, 95 percent of the population lives near inner China and many of the minority groups live in outer China. Of these people, around 92 percent are Han Chinese. The government has supported the Han Chinese migration to other territories to help spread the population more evenly
To the south and southeast of China are the Himalaya Mountains. These are the highest mountains in the world. Because of their impassability the area of China was kept isolated from many other civilizations. The two of the world’s largest deserts are in the are of Ancient China. To the north and west of Ancient China were the Gobi Desert and the

Well, first of all China is currently and has always been located in the continent of Asia, towards the East Side. It is surrounded by approximately fourteen countries, and by the Pacific Ocean. China is divided into two regions: the eastern zone, which has much better agriculture, and the various deserts on the west. The Eastern side itself is also divided into two regions, separated by various mountain ranges.
The Great Wall is made out of a series of wall that “were built to increase security, impress visitors and enhance the glory of China” (Background Essay). People in the cities were always frightened by the idea of the Mongols invading China. However, the wall prevented this from happening due to the amount of people “selected to settle along the border areas permanently” (Document B). The people that were selected were to remain there incase of invasion. Due to the brilliant idea of the wall Chinese people were able to continue their lives in peace.
The capital of China is Beijing, which is located in the north eastern part of China. The city has 15, 5 million citizens and is the political center of China.
Based on document six, China is surrounded by the Pacific Ocean (to the west), the Himalayan Mountains (to the southwest), and the Gobi Desert (up north). These natural barriers helped stop foreigners from invading China, thus helping the civilization develop. Furthermore,

This land has a wide variation of animals because of the different habitats provided for them. Most farming was done in the very fertile lands of the Yangtze valley. Present China is much bigger than Ancient China, which means that over time, the kings and different dynasties went gaining more and more land and wealth.

Now I’ll tell you about the geography of China. On the east of China there are two bodies of water, the Yellow Sea and the East China Sea. Then in the Southeast corner of China there is the South China Sea. In the Southwest corner is India. Sharing with India on its borders there is the Himalaya Mt. and within them is Mt. Everest which is one of the biggest mountains in the world. Coming from the east, the Yangzi River flows in and stops right around the center of China. Above it is the Huang He River that flows on the same direction the Yangzi River does. The top center of China is the Gobi Desert. There are many more geography than this but here are just some that I chose to talk about.
From the ancient Chinese’s advanced religion, government and treatment of one another, we can derive many lessons to apply to our lives today. Some of these lessons include: firstly, when the government demonstrates its support to the working middle class through benefits, the country is strengthened by the middle class’ new allegiance, expanded borders, its new ability to provide itself with an education, and its opportunity to be apart of the government and ensure equality through even representation. Secondly, a country whose belief system about gods and ancestors is accessible to every person benefits the social structure, motivation morale than an institutionalized religion provided. The Huang He’s floods could be disastrous. Sometimes floods destroyed the villages. Because of China’s relative geographic isolation, early settlers could not trade with other peoples.
