With the same inventory levels, whether in a store or in a warehouse, the warehouse can drive the cost of this up, beyond that of in a store. Service charges are a cause of this inflated cost. The advantage the warehouse option has here, is there is plenty of space available to keep extra inventory versus what a store can hold, to guarantee a cushion of product in order to fill any customer demands. The object of designing this single warehouse network is to ensure that the size and location of the warehouse is in the correct geographical location so that distribution of the goods will meet or exceed the delivery expectations of the customers. The warehouse size must be sufficient to ensure that goods can be stored accurately, safely and in a manner that inventory control can be achieved. The warehouse size should be evaluated for current needs as well as predicted future growth without being too large, therefore creating waste. The location of the facility must take into account the inbound and outbound transportation modes, along with the transit times and costs of the service requirements for both.

China is one of the most talked about countries in the world today. There are many reasons for this, but first one of the most obvious would be the recent incline in economic development. Since the early 1900’s China has expanded its economy to record highs. This economic boom is driven off of the countries build up of product driven economics. Many of the products are wide ranging, but of the jobs and exports have been created from the recent technology boom. The economy in China is also driven off of the rise in the population. China, is one of the most populated countries on the globe. As of today China’s population has reached 1.3 billion. This is a high and many researchers don’t see it slowing down anytime soon. While this Asian country may be highly populated research has been shown that the population is not equally distributed. The population is divided up between north and south, and east and west. The eastern portion is more agriculture based so the population is lower in this area. On the other hand the population on the western side is more populated due to the industrialized cities that inhabit factories and more multibillion dollar corporations. Not to mention that the Chinese capital is Beijing and has one of the most populated and industrial environments in all of Asia. In recent years China has opened the doors to western culture, and this opening has paid off handsomely. The curiosity and adaptation to the new culture has flourished the economy in China

Located in Eastern Asia, China is a country known for being a worldwide economic superpower that has had a communist government for several years. Beginning in 1978, China, under Deng Xiaoping’s rule, began to incorporate capitalistic ideas in the government. Deng created various reforms unlike any of the policies or reforms in prior years that began to reconstruct China’s economy through modernization and by establishment of international trade.

On the year of 1978, China was one of the poorest states at the global stage. During that time, China’s true per capita GDP was just one-tenth of the Brazilian grade and one-fourtieth tha United State of America grade. The following time, the true per capita GDP in China has grown to more than eight percent (8%) as an everage level in every year. The result from that increasing, has made China today holding the true per capita GDP at the same grade as Brazil and merely one-fifth of the United State of America grade. Nowadays, China become the second-largest economy at the global stage because of the fastest and perpetuated development in standard of living has made in a state with exceeding twenty percent (20%) of the globe’s population. However, China’s economic transformation is said has no historical law in the angle of steps and scale (Xiaodong, 2012, p. 103).
