Although it was a windy day, the Music Festival filled the school with lots of joy and smiles. The purpose of this Music Festival was to raise money for the clubs and organizations of Chino Hills High School. It was a success because everyone was ecstatic to come out and support the dedicated members of the performing arts. Games, food, music, and entertainment were available to those who came to the festival. It was a memorable experience as families came to support the performing arts. Children were excited by the games, prizes, and snacks as the adults conversed and observed the performers. The band, choir, and poly were a few of the many entertainers who participated in the Music Festival. Their dedication to the performing arts
The Chino Hills High School band and Colorguard performed at Disneyland in their own parade. On the route, they marched down none other than Main Street, U.S.A., a staple to anyone visiting Disneyland. Before the parade, the members got to enjoy the many attractions that the park has to offer. The band seemed to please their audience, judging from the claps and cheers received along the way. After the parade members were treated to earned time allotted to ride attractions and whatever else they might desire, whether it was eating, watching a show, or riding one of the many rides at the park. It was a great day for the hard working band, as they got to do what they do best, play great music and then were able to relax and enjoy themselves. Disneyland
The festival which already receives funding from major companies, can seek out new music focused company sponsorship's that will provide aid for the costs of the concerts. The last opportunity for the festival includes the role it can provide in educating the local youth about local cultural music, theater, and arts. Many may grow up to have a strong appreciation towards their own communities’ festival.
To my surprise, we won first place at that festival. Not only the audience, but the judges gave us a standing ovation. The best part for me was when one of the legends, Wynton Marsalis, announced to the whole auditorium that he had cried after hearing us performed, and that the festival would never be the same again. After receiving our scoring sheets from the five judges, we read the comments. Every score box out of 160 was blank, and the only word on one of the sheets between the five judges was wow, the highest honor a group could hope
We provide music with a DJ. There are fuse ball and corn hole. It is a fun and safe place for students to go. Specifically, I assisted in creating the decorations for the event. It takes a lot of people and a lot of decorations to transform a school to make it look like a specific thing.
We’ve all heard of the festival being a scene with women flashing for beads and I totally expected the streets (especially Bourbon Street) to be filled with half-naked drunk people. What I found instead, were elaborately dressed festival-goers of all ages celebrating, laughing and expressing themselves through music, art, and dance. While many costumes and signs were humorous and outrageous, I never once felt anything other than love and positivity around
In a world of political discourse with racism and hate running rampant, a few great men and women came together to bring unity and harmony like never before: in the form of massive music festivals. In the late 1972, the black community came together for a concert known as Watts Summer Festival. In 1969, the largest music festival of its time was held, and was known as Woodstock. Later that year, the Rolling Stones put together a massive free concert in San Francisco known as the Altamont Concert. All of the concerts and music festivals were not aimed at making money or becoming famous, but about the unity of people through the art of music.
John Roberts, Joel Rosenman, Artie Kornfeld, and Mike Lang were the minds behind the creation of these “Three Days of Peace and Music”, the oldest of which was only 27. This festival, and all the music played during this time, was extremely influential. Americans at this time needed a weekend of peace, for tension was high. At this time Nixon was threatening to bomb North Vietnam, over 35,000 U.S. military personnel have died in the line of duty, and communism was terrifyingly close to America. Friends and family were overseas, and this music festival was a way to spread the idea of peace and love through a medium that was understood by all: music. This festival would not have occurred if it was not for the high tensions and influence of countureculture through popular music at the time.
The music played throughout all of the concerts adhered to be diverse. The instruments, the individuals performing, and the conductor all proved to be outstanding. The concerts proved to be interesting as I witnessed them, first hand.

What do you usually think of when you think of music festivals? I think of big stages, my favorite artists, and just having a good time. There is a study that states that the engagement put into music festivals can help you engage in important things in real life such as college. Engagement is one positive key in psychology. Martin Seligman, the creator of Positive Psychology, suggests five quantifiable measures to reflect this construct, which is PERMA: Positive Emotion, Engagement, Positive Relationships, Meaning, and Accomplishment (Seligman, 2011). Improving measures like Engagement is key to improve your well-being. Engagement can be a predictor of various health outcomes, both physical and
