There are some similarities between Christianity and Islam. Christianity and Islam are both religion. Both religion are founded in the Middle East; and they are founded by Prophets of God. They have both impact the course of history. The Christians and Islam each believed that there is only one true God.

With Christianity and Islamic religions in mind, we need to know the facts about each one before comparing and contrasting. First off, Christianity is a religion founded by a guy named Paul, around 30-35 AD. Paul founded the religion in Jerusalem, Israel and he passed it on to many people today. The founder of the Islamic religions is Muhammad. Muhammad founded the Islamic religion in Mecca, Saudi Arabia around the time of 610 AD. One of the last similarities I’d like to note, and perhaps maybe the most important to some, is that both religions believe that there is just one supreme God over everything.

Above all else, religion helps answer the age old question of what is our purpose on Earth. Although Christianity and Islam share many of the same lessons of tranquility and love, they have also been used by many to justify unspeakable acts of violence against each other. Islam and Christianity are inherently violent, not because of the message they preach, but because of the unique interpretations by some of their followers.

Where Christians and Muslims believe in an omnipotent being that is above all and that the holy scripture is a way of learning how to reach a happy afterlife, this is where the similarity blurs. The god in Christianity is a lover of all creatures that are on earth and has a relation to his followers and son (Jesus Christ) whereas Allah loves some and hate others who does not follow his will and does not have relations to anyone as this would be a blasphemous sin. Since these religions differ in history, beliefs, and ultimately culture. Along with differences between these two religions, there’s some similarities.
