Christianity has specific teachings within its religion that all christians practice. Christians believe in the Trinity which is the Father, Son, and the Holy spirit. God is the father, son is Jesus, and the holy spirit is a spirit. Another teaching of Christianity is that christian life is marked by baptism. Baptism is when christians are submerged in water or water is sprinkled over their head and it symbolizes purification. They practice this teaching because they believe that it is a way of recognizing that Jesus died for their sins, was buried in a tomb, and rose from the dead. Christians also teach that the Bible is the word of God and they believe in the Bible and what the Bible says. Islam teaches The Five Pillars of Islam. The Five Pillars of Islam are Faith, Prayer, Charity, Fasting, and Pilgrimage. Faith is the belief of one god, Prayer is praying five times a day, Charity is giving or donating to those in need, Fasting is only eating after sunset to sunrise for a whole month, and Pilgrimage is the journey to Mecca. The Five Pillars of Islam are practiced by every Muslim. Another teaching within Islam is that they all believe in one god who is named Allah. The last teaching is that Muhammad who was the last prophet of their god “Allah” is the messiah, which means Muhammad is their messenger of god.
