An overview of the Classic II:
It is always good to know everything one can about objects as important to life as a stethoscope is as it could very well end up helping to save your life at some point.
Often thought of by many to be an industry standard leading stethoscope, the Littmann Classic II S.E is the go to, clear cut choice for emergency medical responders, nurses and students. Its rugged design should keep it lasting well past the warranty date as it is made to resist the toughest conditions the medical field has to throw at it. Additionally, the user can even flex the headset well over one million times or even ball the stethoscope up to fit in your pocket and not worry about damaging

Learning more towards the nurse's scope of things, this stethoscope is best suited for anyone who needs a solid product that will hold up on the roughest conditions and still maintain integrity. Appearance is an important factor in the medical and rescue fields as everyone is discipline and in uniform making them easily recognizable so being able to choose a colour to match may not only be required for military personnel but also fun for nurses and their students. With soft sealing eartips, excellent acoustics can be experienced in even the loudest of environments where it is to be expected in sometimes chaotic places such as the back of an ambulance or the emergency room. Often, heavy weight is attributed to strength and quality which are two trails the Littmann Classic II excelle at while still being able to stay lightweight enough to reduce any stress other more cumbersome stethoscopes may have caused. Price is massive make or break sale for most and to have the best usually comes with a hefty bill but having a price tag of around $80 for a stethoscope that could very well last the duration of your career, many agree that it is well worth the price considering the other options that are out there. FInally, warranty is included and the ability to purchase spare parts should the stethoscope endure any wear and tear over the years is there should it ever be
-The scopes were to be tested before and after every cases, despite this they frequently broke down during surgery. The operation will need to be rescheduled. That is extremely horrible to the patients. And take a considered of the time for sending the scopes to Barton and the waiting time (We almost impossible that the scopes can be maintained as soon as we send our equipment there). The time for how long the maintenance or repair is down is hard to be controlled.
The cost of Medical equipment plays a significant role in the delivery of health care. The clinical engineering at Victoria Hospital is an important branch of the hospital team management that are working to strategies ways to improve quality of service and lower cost repairs of equipments. The team members from Biomedical and maintenance engineering’s roles are to ensure utilization of quality equipments such as endoscope and minimize length of repair time. All these issues are a major influence in the hospital’s project cost. For example, Victory hospital, which is located in Canada, is in the process of evaluating different options to decrease cost of its endoscope repair. This equipment is use in the endoscopy department for
Forever Strong is a movie that, once you have seen it, leaves you with a feeling of déjà vu. It follows the inner turmoil of a high school rugby athlete, Rick Penning. Consumed with a life of partying and bad decisions, one of those decisions eventually leads him to a life on the other side of the bars. Desperate for a chance at redemption, he uses his knowledge and skills to promote the sport in his detention center, pick-up game style. Impressed with his leadership, a coach from the local high school rugby team visits him and makes an offer: join his team and the warden of the center would release him early for good behavior. Accepting the offer, Penning begins to realize that this new team is completely different from the old. Faced with
An informal survey of perioperative nurses, physicians and patients was performed regarding the use of thigh-length versus knee-length SCD’s. The surgical services management team, clinical nurse educator, surgeons, and materials management were also involved in the process of using only knee-length SCD’s on all surgical patients. The surgeons, staff, and patients were perceptive and willing to use only knee-length SCD’s. The perioperative nurses were hesitant at times to call the physician for an order to place knee-length SCD’s on the surgical patient. This was a barrier to the suggested change project.
The device/equipment should be personalised to meet the individual's need and set up correctly. The individual and others supporting them should receive training on how to use the device. The individual should be supported to read and understand the instructions and to follow any health and safety advice on how to use the device correctly.
Follows efficient, logical sequence; balances screening/diagnostic steps for problem; informs patient; sensitive to patient’s comfort, modesty.
If a specific piece of equipment is necessary for patient care, the manager must have the long-range plan for the life of the instrument and then plan annually to account for the costs associated with the equipment. The manager should present the budget using both qualitative and quantitative
The blood vessel that Dr. Eltahawy was concerned about was thin and looked as though it would collapse in on itself. First, Dr. Eltahawy tried a balloon catheter. At the top of the catheter was a small balloon that could inflate to maintain a shape or structure of a blood vessel. However, because the blood vessel was so thin, the balloon catheter was not very effective. Instead, Dr. Eltahawy installed a stent. A stent is a wire mesh tube. It is placed in a blood vessel permanently to maintain the shape of the vessel and to allow for the free flow of blood. Throughout this entire independent study, I realize that shadowing in the medical field is less about learning about medicine and more about discovering about whether becoming a doctor is the right step. This independent study has been a step in the right
Each day, violence is pushed on children, teenagers, and adults. Yet we as a society continue to overlook the issue. We fail to ask ourselves the important questions. Why are there so many mass shootings, why are there so many unjustified murders, or why are men using masculinity as an excuse to become more aggressive towards woman sexually, and also towards men who don’t display what our modern cultures and movies tell us is manly? I believe that we don’t ask these questions not because we don’t want to hear the answers, instead because glorified ferocity has become a normal part of our everyday lives. So much so, that we think it’s just the way life is. After watching Tough Guise 2 it becomes clear that although violent action is the end result, our true problem lies within the horrible messages our movies present to us.
“They hold sterile instruments, anesthesia equipment, medicines, drapes, gowns, catheters, and a handheld unit allowing clinicians to obtain a hemogram and measure electrolytes or blood gases with a drop of blood. FSTs also carry a small ultrasound machine, portable monitors, transport ventilators, an oxygen concentrator providing up to 50 percent oxygen, 20 units of packed red cells, and six roll-up stretchers with their litter
This essay by David Adams Richards, was really interesting. I liked many things about his style of writing. I liked how he made the title of the essay "My Old Newcastle" a paradox. The structure of the essay was different than the other essays I have read. I liked this essay in terms of structure but I'd have to say my favorite structure of all the essays that I have read was "the swan." Not to say that I havent enjoyed and learned lots from the other essays that I have read but I enjoyed the structure of "the swan" the best. I really liked the descriptive words that the author used to describe his hometown of Newcastle, New Brunswick. Even though I have never been to New Brunswick I got a good picture of
Capnography will allow the team to monitor the presence and severity of bronchospasm and if the patient is following the treatment plan for exacerbations. If the patient isn’t showing signs of improvement EMS can be sent to the location to provide additional support. Along with COPD, metabolic conditions can be effectively monitored in the field. Patients with diabetes mellitus can be
Above all the drama and the controversies that had happened in Show Me The Money 4 so far, hearing Mino say this is what really got to me. This boy worked so very hard, skipped meals and lost sleep to write lyrics that people, especially his fans, wouldn’t even get to hear. Do you know how frustrating it is to give your all on something and just have your efforts wasted? And to think that Mino has to go through all of this already with the stress of being ruthlessly criticized by the public for a line of rap that he didn’t even mean hurts me even more. He’s been used for ratings and publicity, has been a victim of careless editing, has been and is still the target of most other contestants on the show and yet he never acted up or complained.
As of the moment this technology is only used by Pararescuemen who are a type of Special Forces within the Air Force. When this technology branches out to other less specialized units, how can we trust that they will fully take care of this pricey
While this stethoscope is inexpensive – it generally sells for less than twenty dollars – it has everything one would expect
