Cloning Bad

Racism is the hatred or intolerance to another race. This usually involves one party believing they are superior to the other and have the right to rule. Maycomb County, Alabama is a town that demonstrates separate is surely not equal. In To Kill a Mockingbird, Harper Lee suggests the evident role race plays in the town.

Summary: The necessary technology has been created, as evident in the story of Dolly the sheep. People still pose questions such as the role of God in Society. Here is a list of pros of human cloning : It could eliminate defective genes , It is considered as the logical next step in the reproductive technology, It could aid in faster recoveries from injuries, it gives a new meaning to genetic modification. As all things human cloning also has cons. Here is a short list of those cons : it risks the possibility of faster aging, it can bring forth a reduced sense of individuality, it can cause a divide among people and it might decrease the overall value of human life.(Pao Chang, 2016)

The invention of cloning has multiple positive outcomes to not only the inventors, but also to society. Cloning allows scientists to have a better understanding of cells through genetic research. This leads to not only a better comprehension of genes, but also “better research on diseases and how to prevent them” ( Pros and Cons of Cloning). At the same time, cloning benefits organisms such as animal and plant life. From this invention, endangered animals or plants can be cloned to save the species. “The invention of cloning can save organisms close to extinction” (Pros and Cons of Cloning). In the near future, cloning may “advance to allow pigs to grow replacement organs for human use in transplant surgeries”(Uses of Cloning) . This invention will also one day allow same sex couples to create their own children through cloning . These advancements will be both a medical and scientific breakthrough for mankind. As cloning advances, it may be able to save and create lives through gene research, duplication of organs, and adaptation of embryos for human use.

     As soon as you mention the word cloning, you are most likely to ignite a debate. This is because people are greatly divided on whether it's good or bad. A way to reach a conclusion is to look at cloning from ethical, risk, and religious perspectives. The reality is, cloning is unethical, very risky, and irreligious. The arguments I will make will hopefully convince you that cloning is not good for the future.

There are actually many benefits that would come with cloning, such as being able to cure defective genes s, many cosmetic surgeries, and possibly, being able to cure cancer. The way that cloning would be able to cure defective genes, would be by cloning the same genes, but altering them to be benefit the human body rather than be a negative aspect.

First off sperm starvation has shown to play a drastic role in creating clones improving the odds of a clone being produce by a lot and was actually one of the variables that played a role in creating Dolly. Starvation of sperm cells in the donor induces quiescence of cultured cells, and freezes them in the cell cycle stage that is GO until they are ready to be used. (Tian) The skill of the lab are also a significant variable in cloning because while Mammary epithelial cells, ovarian cumulus cells, fibroblast cells from skin and internal organs, various internal organ cells, Sertoli cells, macrophage and blood leukocytes have all been used successfully in the process of nuclear transfer if the techniques predormed and the skills of the lab team do not match up the process will fall through. (Tian) Also a variable playing into the cloning process is the age of the donor cell. This can be seen because using an older cell causes the animal to undergo a process most don’t go through at such a young age. As cells go through rounds of division the tips of the chromosomes, called telomeres, shrink. Overtime these telomeres become so short that the cell will no longer be able to divide and will eventually die all together. This is why using older cells could drastically decrease the lifespans of the newly cloned animal verse using much younger cells that help sustain the animals life

According to Mosby’s Medical Dictionary, the term “cloning” is defined as “a procedure for producing multiple copies of genetically identical organisms or cells or of individual genes.” Researchers have conducted several cloning experiments over the years, replicating tissues, organs, and even full organisms such as Dolly the Sheep in 1997. The history of cloning dates back to the early 1900’s when Hans Adolf Edward Dreisch studied the results of separating two-celled sea urchin embryos (“The History of Cloning”). The process has since evolved and become a process that is widely talked about amongst doctors, scientists and the general public. The process of cloning has been predicted to play a significant role in medical advancements in the near future. The main areas of which cloning could potentially affect are treatments for various diseases through organ replacement and infertility. As many topics in science, controversy exists regarding the subject of cloning in addition to its’ advantages and disadvantages.

I think cloning is bad. We don't have a right to create life. God’s job is to create life. We hear

The scientific community widely supports the use of cloning for practical medical research and believes it’s a one way ticket to a better lifestyle. Although the benefits of cloning are for medical purposes, it does not change the fact that the subject isn’t going to live a long healthy life and there is a possibility that the experiment will fail. "Cloning endangered species has a wildly low success rate; usually under one percent” (Vannewkirk). Even successful clones are often not able to themselves reproduce and usually live shorter than average lives” (Vannewkirk). If cloning continues to lead healthy species and organism to a shorter life span and the inability to comprehend the success rate, then cloning should not be legal, even for medical benefits.
