According to Pew Research Center 47% of students go to college to gain work related skills and acquire knowledge. Another 39% believes college offers a forum for students to grow personally and develop their intellectual abilities. While the remaining 12% believes it’s a little bit of both. In my experience, I think college is the setting where you build strong ties with people that may inhabit your life from that point on. College is the opportunity to have attractive numbers floating around on your paystub at the end of the week versus the average person that don’t have a college degree and most importantly I think college does help you to grow heavily intellectual. Observing everyone you come in contact with at college, you may arrive at the speculation that they are all people planning to go somewhere. As a young adult we tend to choose our friends more carefully and college is a great place to find people with people that are supposing on the same track as you .Share aspiring thoughts and welcomes progress. Even so, they happily accept you better with a college degree. You will automatically qualify for a better position than someone who just left high school. According to a Forbes article it states that students with a college degree have better communication skills, maintain their professional work ethic, facilitates team work and think more critically. Employers with good benefits will rather take an applicant with a college degree because it seems more feasible in the long run.
