color and hair texture, that he created heaven and hell along with the universe, and many other things. The stories in the bible are conflicting. First, God’s mother Mary; who was a virgin, gave birth to God in a mangier. How can a virgin give birth? It seems far fetch to me. Secondly, when it comes to God’s appearance; his skin color and hair texture. In the bible it says that God’s skin color is bronze, and his hair texture is like lamb wool. So how is it that he is painted as a white man in the paintings that we see today? Clearly, God was a black man in the bible, right or a man of color? Those are just some of many conflicting stories that stand out to me in the bible. Also, Anselm; believed that God exists in our minds but also in reality.
The bible is a piece of literature that has been re-written many times, and in the bible there are tremendous amounts of illusions. There are illusions in the bible, but not all of them can be recognized easily, they are not all straight forwards in other words.
1.) There are many non-believers who question and try to disprove the validity of the word of God its authors who he spoke to. Many will argue that the number of authors prove that the bible is a collection of stories and go out of their way to deny divine inspiration of its authors. Divine authorship, “recognizes that every word of the Bible originated and came about through the work of God.” (Cartwright and Hulshof, 2016). God used men to put his words to the text of the Bible. Many people fail to realize that words of the scripture are directly his own.
For a large part of the twentieth century, interracial couples on TV shows were few and far between. Given that anti-miscegenation laws (the laws against inter-breeding of people considered to be of different racial types) remained on the books of U.S. states well into the 1960s, entertainment executives deemed mixed couples too controversial for television. And even now, in current times, the majority of current films presuppose the abnormality of interracial intimacy, leaving little room for alternate stories of harmony. Many of today's films instead poke fun at interracial relationships and depict solely the difficulties faced, the awkward encounters, and the negative effects of participating in one.
At the scene of the crime a hair was found near Anna Garcia. After viewing and testing the hair, we concluded that the hair belonged to Erica. The unknown hair had the exact same thickness and color of Erica’s hair. The hair at the crime scene had a similar cuticle to Erica’s. Both Erica’s hair and the one at the crime scene had the same cortex as well. We believe that Erica’s hair was brought to the crime scene on a piece of clothing by Alex Garcia(Anna’s ex-husband). When Alex came to murder Anna a hair of Erica’s must have fallen off when Alex was doing his deed.
3 different samples of hair was extracted from 3 suspects of the murder and were compared to a hair left at the crime scene of Mr Mowder (Evidence Hair). The Evidence Hair had a blonde color to it with a slight shade of light brown. It’s dimension was thin and had no presence of medulla. Suspect A’s hair sample was also blonde with slight shades of light brown. It’s width was thin with no presence of medulla. Suspect B’s hair was Dark Brown with a shading of light brown. The hair was thick and had the presence of medulla. Suspect C’s hair was Blonde like Suspect A’s but had a shading of light grey. It was also thin like suspect’s A and had no presence of medulla. Among the suspect’s, suspect A and suspect C had the most resemblance to the evidence hair. Suspect B had dark
3 samples of hair are picked from 3 suspects that maybe the murderer of Mr.Mowder. Another sample of hair was extracted from the crime scene left by the killer. Under the microscope, 4 samples of hair were observed. Sample A or Schwab’s hair sample was light brown, wide, had a presence of medulla, and dark shadings on both sides of the hair. Sample B or Clark’s hair was darker, thinner than Suspect A’s, and still had presence of medulla. The shading was uneven on the sides. Sample C or Klotz’s hair was light blonde or grey, wide, had no presence of medulla, and no shading. Finally the hair sample found on the body of Mr.Mowder was light brown, wide, had presence of medulla, and dark shading on the sides. Sample C was widely different from the other hair samples due to its color. Samples B, C and the victim hair are more similar due to it’s
African American women have different types of hair. For example hair can either be course, fine, and medium textures. The way hair is determined its by circumference and the condition of the cuticle. Fine texture has a small circumference and closed cuticle. Coarse hair it has much larger circumference and the cuticle is much more open. They are often broken down into different types of hair such as African Caribbean, Asian, and Caucasian (European). African Caribbean is usually displayed as a tightly curled and often very dark. “African Caribbean hair is almost kidney shaped when seen in cross section.” (Anoymous, 2013) This type of is usual damage easily. Asian hair is usually “often straight and has a tendency to be lank.” They come in variety of colors for example a dark to medium brown. It usually is thick and strong. Then you have Caucasian or European which can be straight, wavy or curly. They are usually from a dark to medium brown and it also can be thick and strong. “The texture of hair can be vary significantly according to hair color and racial type” (Anoymous, 2013, p. 1)
Trichology is the study of hair. Interestingly, this study dates back to mid-1800s. However, hair analysis in forensic science began in 1930. During which time, a forensic scientist by the name of Edmond Locard introduced the Locard Exchange Principal. This principal hinges on the fact that any time there is contact between two surfaces an exchange of material will take place. (Oien, 2009) In this paper, I will prove how Forensic Hair Analysis and Forensic Hair comparison and studies if properly performed and correctly interpreted hair analysis meets all the scientific method standards.
Poetry has always been a way of expressing emotions about life experiences. Poetry allows us to use symbolism to express ideas without the use of proper language. Things like our feelings about local scenery and culture can be expressed in symbols and imagery. One example of this, Ron Rash’s poem “Local Color”, explores the concepts of place and identity and suggests they are intertwined. Examples of how place and identity are intertwined are shown in the grandfather’s identity as a regular at the local bar, the grandmother’s identity as a homemaker and wife at home, and the idea that by going to the church the grandfather was going to change his identity.
African American women's health, hair politics, and physical activities. Studies show that African American women tend to pay more attention to their hair instead of their health issues. Researches came up with a theoretical argument to figure out why hair matter for some women. They discover that hair presents a barrier to exercise in that the time and economic restrictions involved in maintaining a hairstyle post exercise for physical activity as prohibitive. This study provides some perception about the relationship between hair and health for African American women and suggests that extra attention is justified to address views about beauty ideals and hairstyles as a barrier to exercise (Versey, 2014, p. 2015)
The bible teaches us many things about God. From Genesis and Exodus we can learnwhat the Judeo-Christian view of God was. Genesis shows us that God made the sun, the moon, the earth and every living thing. During the days of creation God made all things good. On theseventh day of creation God rested and declared all he made to be very good (Genesis 1:31). God created human beings in his own image. We as humans can be certain of our owndignity and self worth because we have been created in the image of God. The book of Genesisshows us that people disobey God by choosing to do wrong. Even great bible heros failed Godand disobeyed him. The bible teaches us that God is forgiving. God has many attributes. God makes no mistakes and this is wisdom. God is infinite, heknows
God’s role in the Bible is characterized in several different ways, with dramatically competing attributes. He takes on many functions and, as literary characters are, he is dynamic and changes over time. The portrayal of God is unique in separate books throughout the Bible. This flexibility of role and character is exemplified by the discrepancy in the depiction of God in the book of Genesis in comparison to the depiction of God in the book of Job. On the larger scale, God creates with intention in Genesis in contrast to destroying without reason in Job. However, as the scale gets smaller, God’s creative authority can be seen in both books, yet this creative authority is manifested in entirely distinctive manners. In Genesis, God as
The Jews indeed, but also some of our own people, supposed that God should be understood as a man, that is, adorned with human members and human appearance. But the philosophers despise these stories as fabulous and formed in the likeness of poetic fictions.
In the book of Genesis there is no physical description of God and how he is viewed. In Genesis 1 God is viewed as only a spirit. He speaks and creates the earth, animals, and humanity, but he does not physically interact with them. In Genesis 2 God physically interacts with humans, which is shown when he moves Adam to the garden of Eden and he takes a rib out of Adam to create Eve. Since God interacts physically with humans in Genesis 2, this implies that God not only is spirit but he also has a physical body, and so the image of God is both spirit and body. To be made in the image of God means that humans are created to look like his physical image and embody his spirit, which includes his characteristics, such as creativity, authority,
When I saw Hairspray the Musical there were three things that I noticed that were important in making the theatrical performance. Those three things were the acting, production, and how the actors made us, the audience, feel. Each of these things contribute greatly to any performance. I feel that this production of Hairspray hit each of these notes very well.
