During the early 1800's to 1900's, Oklahoma developed greatly. But once they got the dam up they could start more growing food and more homes and it actually brought more people around. So there are a few ways that helped Yuma Arizona and made it a little more better. But there was only one downside to it, the steamboats could not be used anymore.
I came into Norwalk Community College looking for a fresh start. I previously attended a 4 year university that became too much for me; attending school full-time, working 30 hours per week while trying to enjoy the college experience. At the cost of an “experience” I ended up failing most of my classes, putting my health at risk drowned by the tremendous amount of stress and just wanted to completely give up. Looking for a fresh start I decided to leave my University, and attend Norwalk Community College. Though this decision created self-doubt in the beginning, it soon came to my realization that it was the best decision I ever made. Immersed in an environment full of positive people, I was able to put my pieces back together.

The phrase “mad as a hatter” derives from a few places, one of them being the hat-shaping business of Danbury, Connecticut. The worker’s jobs were to shape hats, and they were being exposed to many toxic elements while doing so. “After years spent shaping hats, these workers began exhibiting signs of neurological damage—stumbling, slurred speech, and shaking that became known in the city of Danbury, Connecticut, once the hat-making capital of the world, as the Danbury Shakes’” (Belli 1). After many years being around toxic materials, hat-shapers in Danbury, Connecticut, started to have epileptic seizures, diarrhea, nervous system damage and more. This was because of all the mercury the hat-shapers were unknowingly ingesting or coming into contact
How did the pioneers get what they need? How did the pioneers stay safe? Well back in the day pioneers could find a break. Small buildings called forts were there. Fort Laramie used to be a great battle fort but eventually went into the fur trading business. Many natives and travelers stopped here to trade for many goods that they use for survival. Imagine this: Spears whooshed past a wagon. The pioneers were

Several days after the battle, the tribe began to run out of resources and eventually starved to death, giving the rock and the park its name. The rich history of the area began in 8000 BC when the Archaic tribe first settled there. From then on tribes such as the Woodland, Hopewellian, and Mississippi have also inhabited the area.
