How is “A Fabricated Mexican” different from “The Girl in My Town”? Do you find the differences from these books and what are they? The two main characters from each book whose family are Mexican that lived in a poverty place in America. Both families work hard to make their life better by overcoming their struggles and escaping their family’s poverty. However, the families live differently. Ricky from “A Fabricated Mexican” are poorer than Angela from “The Girl in My Town”. For instance, in the book, “A Fabricated Mexican,” Ricky Coronado and his family are working in the fields and earn little money, but in the book “The Girl in My Town,” Angela Morales and her family have Raymor Electric which is her parents’ appliance store that can make them earn money by selling appliances. Unlike Ricky, Angela does not have to work hard. Although they both are Mexican, Ricky Coronado and Angela Morales have their own different lifestyles: school, life with their fathers, and adulthood. First of all, Ricky Coronado has a normal school life and learns new things in school. According to the book “A Fabricated Mexican” by Rick P. Rivera, Ricky plays and learns how to play baseball at his school.
