In the book on page 13 it says , “Winnie Foster sat on the bristly grass just outside the fence” showing that her name is the same. Jeannette Walls is left with huge burn scars all over her body from a cooking accident when she was only three. This is only a part of the crazy life of Jeannette that is explained in the book and movie, The Glass Castle. The book and movie are both based on the life of Jeannette Walls, who is the author of the book. The book and the movie are both wonderful but at the same time very different, here are some similarities. Surprisingly, the book has more differences than similarities, but a few of the similarities are the way they both portray the Mother (Rose Mary Walls) and Father (Rex Walls).
The movie and the book had one main thing in common; the plot. They are both about heirs coming to Sunset Towers to figure out who murdered Sam Westing for millions of dollars. The heirs are split up into pairs, and are given clues to play Mr. Westing’s game. Both the movie and the book have similar pairs, but each pair connects differently.
The novel and film have a resemblance like having long hair. The novel and film are the same like how Johnny and Ponyboy still go to the church after the instinct. Like Dally gave the hideout and the money to get the started with going to the church. The wint to DQ and eat lunch because the were hunger. That win Darry showed up to take them to eat.Even no there's similarities there are tons of opposite in the novel and film.
The movie and book have a few similar qualities. One similarity is they both tell/show that Dallas (dally) gets shot down by the police. After Dally robs a store the police shoot him. Another similarity is the little kid bites Pony. When Pony is helping save the little kids from inside the burning church, one kid bites Ponyboy’s finger. With as much as we know the similarities lets move on to the differences.
In the story, there are many similarities. For example, the order of events all happen at in the same order in the book and the movie. Such as the order from Ponyboy and Dally seeing Cherry at the movie theatre all the way to the end when Ponyboy writes the composition paper. Another

When a book gets adapted into a film, the filmmakers will most likely change many things from the book so it doesn’t seem like they ripped the film completely off. This is obvious with Flowers For Algernon and the movie, Charly, this book and movie have many differences as well as similarities. One similarity with this book and film is that they both follow the same story which is about Charlie, a 37 year old man that desperatly wants to become smart. Charlie/Charley is the main character of both works, with the exception of a petty spelling difference that in the film it is spelt as Charley rather than Charlie. While in the 1968 film Charley works in a bakery. Both in the book and film Algernon portrays a very witted and agile mouse. There is no differences of Algernon within the book or film. How does the diary or journal-entry form affect the emphasis of the narrative? How dependable is Charlie as a narrator as he progresses through his various stages? Discuss Charlie’s capability of providing insight to the other characters.
Flowers For Algernon by Daniel Keyes is not your average book. It is written in a progress report format, and from the point of view of a mentally challenged man named Charlie Gordon. During the book, you follow Charlie's life before, during, and after he has an operation to make him smarter. It contains a lot of themes, but the theme that stuck out the most was both harm and good can come from technology.
The novel and movie have a countless number of similarities. In both the movie and novel the main character, Christopher McCandless is set out on an adventure into the wild which leads to both consuming poisonous berries and starvation which are the cause of his death. Dilemmas happen everyday. Some dilemmas can be good, and some can be bad. A dilemma is a situation in which a difficult choice has to be made between two or more alternatives. In the story, Flowers For Algernon by Daniel Keyes wrote a story about a 37 year old man named Charlie who has a disability, he doesn't understand thing that normal people can. He then is encouraged by his teacher to get a surgery done to become smarter. Some people think that the surgery was a good idea,or some think it was a bad idea. In my opinion, I think that Charlie made the wrong decision about the surgery. Some people think that Charlie should of have the operation to make his dream come true In my opinion, I think he shouldn't have had the surgery because, people weren't expecting him to be new, it would not be permanent, and he put his life in danger.
Both stories is with Charly and his struggles to fit in with society and his struggles with his emotions. There was one scene that was almost exactly the same as the one scene in the short story. It was before the operation when Charly was pranked by his co-workers and was being laughed at but due to his low intelligence, he thought they were his friends and that they were laughing with him. After the operation, Charly was aware that his co-workers were laughing at him and not with him. He was then challenged to use the big machine properly. The co-workers wanted him to use the big machine because if Charly breaks it, they get a day off. But due to Charly’s high intelligence after the operation, he use the machine perfectly which caused a new feeling for his co-workers. Fear. They started to fear how intelligent Charly became. So because of this fear, he was given a pink slip saying that he was fired. The same thing happened in the short story. The film and short story aren’t completely different. They both have the same plot and there are still same scenes. In other words, there were similarities between the film and the short story. There was some extra added footage in the film that never showed up in the short story. The film was also quite focused in the relationship between Charly and Ms Kinnian. But both had the same plot and same scenes. In conclusion, there were actually many
