List three events/accomplishments from any time period in your life that meet two criteria: 1) You really enjoyed what you did and 2) you did it really well. Please write a short paragraph for each telling what role you played and why you were fulfilled. (Please exclude: commitment to Christ, marriage, having children, or graduating from college. Although we greatly appreciate the value of those events they may not tell us anything unique about you. Here are several examples: I had a paper route when I was ten or I owned a chain of grocery stores from ’95-03 or I was a member of volleyball team that finished 2nd in our conference or I was a part of a select choir.)
Competed in an acting contest - I remember a time in high School where I took

My father was in the military for over 35 years, which allowed me the opportunity to travel. I love academia and did not foresee me following in my father’s footsteps. As the situation would have it, God will sometimes allow you to have your cake and eat it too, but not necessarily in the order that we anticipate. I began my Academic experience only to be forced to leave due to extenuating circumstances. I realize that I would not be able to return to college after two years because my financial/support system changed. One day I saw an advertisement for the GI Bill and realized that I could travel, serve my country and earn money to return to one of my loves, school. I joined the military not knowing what to expect. It started off a little shaky as far as physical fitness and extreme mental conditioning. With much prayer and faith I left the military as a decorated solider, received several fitness awards, acquired unforgettable sights and experiences, and lifelong friends. This was one of my favorite jobs. I took away from my short tour in the military, confidence, discipline, a heart for service/protection, and a love for running. I completed a marathon years after leaving the military, as well as acquiring an AA, BA, and MA …show more content…
In service to youth-This has been an ongoing burden from God. A love ministry because of the great need and the preciousness of this ministry. I will desire to move on to older children (even young adults), however my service to children of all ages seems to be never ending and is entrenched in a desire to continually pray, feed, and pour into them at any given time or occasion.
Teaching/train-I was born to teach/train. I am always teaching, instructing, directing, informing, training even in a normal conversation. I feel a need to improve people’s understanding or help relieve frustration that comes from lack of information or wrong perceptions. So teaching is a joy and a love for me, because my main desire is to bring peace, or joy when others reach a truth or unshakable concept. I will spend hours researching in order to making material easy to understand and apply to one’s life and situations.
Preaching- This is a God given gift and has been a long process that I have no control over. I just do what I can, when I can until God wants to speak. This sacrifice is relinquish of
Living in a strongly religious community, I was given many opportunities to provide service to fellow church members and also under privileged youth of the community. When I began high school I was given the opportunity to become a counselor during Vacation Bible School and
I have served God and those in need. I am particularly proud of my involvement with Hephzibah Children Association. During the holidays, I had the chance to volunteer and visit children at Hephzibah Children Association. It was an amazing experience to fill their day with joy. I also devoted a great deal of my time at the Christmas Cheer Foundation. Every year, I volunteered and helped those in need. Furthermore, a duty of mine was to help wrap books and other supplies for children to have something to open on Christmas Day. Reflecting on my devotion to God and my personal growth, I realized when I was younger I thought I was doing this for fun. As I grew older, I realized I was bringing happiness to children on Christmas Day. I have found myself being challenged and learning to balance everything in my life. However, serving God, and the community is an area in my life where I can say has been less of a challenge, but more of a
Working with children and supporting their learning is my passion. I have always been inspired by the opportunity teaching offers each child to reach their full potential; which understandably plays a crucial part in children achieving lifelong learning.
My passion is my commitment, I have wanted to be a teacher since I met my kindergarten teacher, and I am will to go above and beyond to strive to do my very best for my students and colleagues, if we don’t all work together then we have no
In my entire life I have been interested in many things as well; to be a dancer, or air hostess. But there is one, the got the most attention in my mind. To be a “teacher”
What's mine is yours. Having lived a year in a student hostel I understood this phrase was the best to describe my first year student life. We shared everything: all of bright spots, all of difficult moments, all of the books and all of the cakes. My roommates are my best friends now and I trust them as I would myself. I believe amazing adventures and close friendship are waiting for us too! Also I believe, my dear roommate, you’ll get at least one new hobby living with me. I promise I’ll share to you with my frenzy for mountains. Oh, that’s really amazing! I’m a participant of the university tourist all around team(sports tourism university team member) and every weekend we get to go to incredibly picturesque places of Zailiyskiy Alatau.
As I got older, I was able to take advantage of more volunteer opportunities, because some of the elderly women from my church invited me to help. I would occasionally aid the adults in watch over the younger children in the nursery during service, which turned into me being a Sunday school teaching assistant when I was a teen. I loved working with children and being of service to others.
In 2004, the Marine Corp changed my life when my mother married my step-Father and we were stationed to Beaufort, South Carolina. At this time in my life, this was the biggest change that I had ever had to encounter. However, it was one of the best things that could have happened to me as well. My step-Father became the Dad that he didn’t have to be and he ultimately created in me a drive to strive for more and accept nothing less than what I was capable of. Recently my family has had to face changes that made going to school seem more difficult than
For a long time I didn’t know what I would like to pursue as a career but when I reflected on my life I realized some of my favorite times in life were when I was teaching someone something and when I was learning. In my future career as a high school teacher I will able to do both of those things. Seeing peoples’ eyes light up with interest because they
I understand that the life I am choosing to partake in is demanding, both mentally and financially. Learning to serve in both the facets of physician and military officer will be difficult. However, I have been promoting in myself a lifestyle of hard work by taking the most demanding classes, participating in three sports every year, and filling the rest of the unused time with service activities and advanced studies. By fostering a life devoted to service and hard work, and by essentially aligning my adult life with the values of the Army and those stated in the Hippocratic Oath of Medicine, I believe I am well on my way to working for the common good through respect, selfless-service, honor, and personal
When assigned my first essay, “My Greatest Accomplishment,” I took time to brainstorm different ideas that defined me. The accomplishment that stood out the most to me was qualifying for State Track in four events on a sprained ankle. While writing this essay, I felt like a baby learning how to walk. My writing was unsteady and I took a few tumbles trying to get the paragraphs to flow. This reminded me of trying to run on my sprained ankle at the State-qualifying meet. However, like I finished the paper, I finished my events with qualifying times. I knew the essay would prove difficult, but I grew hopeful while writing because I knew I had numerous
My passion really kicked off freshman year, when I traveled to Virginia with my church for my first mission trip. I was so nervous and hesitant about going, but little did I know that this trip would change my entire life. I was fortunate enough to be able to help a married couple who were not financially stable, and were facing some health issues. In less than 5 days, my group was able to repair the outside of their trailer house, put new skirting under the trailer, fix the roof, and build a ramp for their wheelchair to roll down. I was very much out of my comfort zone, and at first I wasn't a huge fan of it, but after the first day, all my
Additionally, I was trained in evangelism and ordained under Charles and Frances Hunter, Harold and Beverly Sempe with The Bread Ministry for 10 years, Kenneth Copeland Ministries about 6 years. I served as a prayer partner for 2 years with Trinity Broadcasting. Additionally, I have served in various ministries for seminars, conferences, and evangelism. I have worked with the following ministries for that purpose, John Hagee Ministries, Joyce Meyers Ministries, Benny Hinn Ministries, Fred Price Ministries, Creflo Dollar Ministries, Jesse Duplantis Ministries, and a few others. I have enjoyed serving with these different ministries through various periods of my Christian walk as God revealed to me how to live a new life with morals.
Teaching is not just a job that I perform because I expect a reward at the end of each month; it is my passion and I feel extremely satisfied with every successful lesson. I like to help the society, and teaching gives me a great opportunity to do so. I am passionate about educating my students, so I work with them and motivate them to lead them to find inspiration in learning. I use different strategies to engage them and share with them the knowledge.
My passion is to not only teach students in a creative and positive way that they are actually learning but also to inspire them to learn and make something great of themselves in their future. The reason being when I was younger I did not take my education that serious. If I would have known then how serious an education was, I feel that I could have accomplished more in middle and high school. After school I wouldn't care about actually learning about my homework. For this reason I want to inspire kids to want to learn at a young age and for them to see that their education and work ethic is very important even at their age. Most importantly I want my future students to want to learn.
