Leadership is defined as influence the actions of people of an organization in order to reach certain goals or targets. There are two types of leaders that have been identified; the first once includes the traditional leaders which concentrate on leading a limited zone, whereas a global leader will have control over a larger global sector. This essay will examine the leadership style and contrast of two powerful leaders such as Winston Churchill and Adolf Hitler who had different methods and styles of leading to expanding beyond the nations (Mendenhall et al., 2008).
Winston Churchill was prime minister in the 1940s. He led the United Kingdom, defending it against the Nazi Germany led by Adolf Hitler during the second world war. Both of them are considered to be the best examples of leadership.
Hitler believed that one a goal has been set that it should be accomplished at any cost and he would not stop until the target is met. He established a Fuehrerprinzip (Leadership principle), in which he firmly believed that he should personally command the war that he should be the ultimate authority and he often had the finals say in many tactical decisions made throughout the war (Megargee,2011). …show more content…

Churchill earned his respect as a traditional man with old standards, he earned his leadership skills during his military service where he was even appointed as First Lord of Admiralty in the Royal Navy. When considering his leadership style, he could be considered charismatic and he possessed strong communication skills, which also contributed to his excellent leadership.
