Comparison Of Middle School And High School

First, the homework you have in high school is quite a bit different than middle school. In middle school we had homework almost everyday in most of our classes. In high school we have homework about once or twice a week for each class depending on the class and project. In middle school I believe we had way more homework than we do in high school. The homework in high school is also easier. Some people struggle with homework but I just sit down and do it so then after I can do whatever I want. I think high school is a lot different than in middle school.

When you transition from elementary school to middle school, you will notice there are many things that do not change between them. For example they both have time slots where you have a chance to eat breakfast before school begins. Namely, in fifth grade, you were the head of the elementary, and then in middle school, you become the little ducklings. Despite the fact, that you become ducklings you still get to look up to older and wiser kids. Due to the increased freedom, lockers with locks, and a variety of subjects to learn. Lastly, middle school is exceptionally better that elementary school.

The hallways full of lockers, teachers, and students is the start to any academic future, despite the differences high school and middle school bring. High school and middle school have many differences, some not as large as others. From decorated middle school lockers, to the red and black cardinal spirited lockers at the high school, is just one tiny difference between the two (BE10). Major differences include the homework given, how intense high school sports are, and more classes available in high school than middle school. Among the many differences, high school is brought to another level of expectations, requirements, and responsibility. To anyone thinking high school is just something to float on by, will have a rude awakening soon to arise.

The biggest difference between middle school and high school is what the work is going towards. In middle school all one needs is to get a good grade for the sake of grades and maybe determine what classes they want to take in high school. That is far less pressure than faced high school. In high school grades can feel like a great weight on your shoulders especially in the more advanced courses. What is done in high school determines where your future leads in college or whatever is done after. It not only shapes your education but how you are presented to the adult world to be entered soon. Not only that, if your grades are not high enough you will be pulled from activities. Overall

You get to wake up earlier and do less work. Next year I probably will be wishing the same thing, but to be in middle school. I am excited for highschool next year, but also nervous. I am petrified of getting lost or walking into the wrong classroom. Many of my freshman friends tell me they love highschool.

Middle school was very fun though and it matured me a lot for high school I also learned a lot of things in middle school that have helped me in highschool I also still have some of my middle schools teachers now like Ms.Bowen that was my favorite teacher in middle school she was very cool. Going from a middle school to high school pretty much for anybody can tend to be challenging. High school is the place where you start to mature yourself and better yourself for later on in life for whatever the future may bring. Coming from 8th grade entering into high school as a freshman depending on where you're at can be tough, you really start to realize that you are starting to have responsibilities. You may not start feeling that way in the beginning which in my case I could say the same, but it definitely comes. Converting as an 8th grader to high school you notice the teachers don't baby you in situations if it's your work or your project it's your job to know what's going on the teachers definitely won't look for you.

Students in middle school work with more than one teacher. Middle school is transitioning students to be more prepared for High school. In Elementary school they don’t care how immature you are but, in Middle school they want you to act your age and more mature. You get to play games and have more fun in Elementary school. Middle school it's all about the learning and maturity level.

Life as a middle school student will be totally different from the high school life. These are two different things and way more things will be expected from each and every student now that we are in high school. It will not be as easy as middle school was because when coming to the high school students will have to face hard challenges that might throw them off because they are not use to it. After a couple of week of experiencing high school it will start to get a little easier. Do not to expect high school to go by easy as middle school. If my word could get to the upcoming 8th graders about life at Spartanburg High School I would warn them about academics, sports, and friendships.

Middle school and high school are alike in the aspect that individuals are receiving an education. Both groups go to learn many different subjects that vary depending on the student. Either way it is to ensure that each student is gaining an education for future endeavors. Both groups have many teachers that they encounter each day. That is a prime characteristic of school which truly makes a school function. The teachers teach, grade, and guide the students to help them create a firm understanding.

One of the most important things that we need to remember as middle level teachers, is that every young adolescent is different, and because of those differences, we need to make sure that our lessons and activities reflect this aspect of young adolescents. The middle school age student is extremely complex. On one hand, they don’t fit into the elementary age of little kids, yet aren’t quite as mature as high school aged students. Middle school was a drastic change in my life. In elementary school I didn't have to worry about wearing makeup or what I wore but once I entered middle school, it all changed. The classes became harder, the testing became more frequent, the teachers started to care less, and having to change classes every hour and a half was very confusing.

Things was completely different but the same. The work was harder and different from the work I had in middle school even the teachers I had was also different as well. My transition going into high school was different. It happened to be a different type of scenery and I didn’t expect for that to happen to me at that time. Being a freshman opened up a whole different world for me that I wasn’t really ready for. Going into highschool, I had friends I thought I would be friends with for my entire life. As soon as I got to high school things started to change. On top of the friends I had I also made new friends as well. When I was a freshman I had to look up to the upperclassmen to guide me and to lead me by example. When I was a freshman, it meant I had to be on my P’s and Q’s.
