For the first robotics project, my team worked together to assemble a Lego robot and used NXT software to program it to do specific tasks. The process of constructing the robot was one that was a group effort, for there were many small pieces and components that had to be fitted together in a very specific way. It was a learning experience for all of us, because none of us had ever used Legos to build something that complicated nor followed such detailed instructions that were presented as images with very few words. So not only did we get feedback from one another on how to construct the robot, but we also put our heads together to figure out errors we made in the programming. In accordance with the robot assembly instructions, the programming
Like an artist’s palette is full of different colors, I am individual with many different interests, hobbies, personalities, and abilities. My personalities are as bold as a bright yellow. My hobbies and interests are all similar shades of each other, and my abilities are united like one streak of paint. All these colors combine on one canvas to create me, Srivinay Tummarakota.
As president of Henderson County 4-H, part of my office was to collaborate with my officers and the officers of the clubs in my county. This collaboration offered me counsel for wise decisions, and gave me insights into the desires and needs of the members of Henderson County 4-H. Knowing the needs and desires for the future of 4-H in Henderson County, allowed me to effectively and accurately represent the members of my county. Another big teamwork activity I participated in was being an assistant leader at District 5 Yes Camp. I was the only assistant leader from my county, so I had only met the five other assistant leaders that night. We were required to collaborate together and come up with fun games for the 4-Her’s to compete in for time they were at camp. At the end of the camp, not only did the 4-Her’s have fun, but we as the assistant leaders had fun as well. The final teamwork activity I would like to talk about is when I was placed in charge of two teams of junior 4-Her’s and charged with the responsibility of educating them in the robotics project. I had always wanted to learn more about the Robotics project, but this was the first time it would be available in my
Finally after waiting a very long time, the LEGO robotics season had started. I wasthrilled, because this year, I would be building and programming robots. When my dad had told me about the program a week ago, I immediately responded yes, because I loved building LEGOs so much. I remembered spending hours on end wearing out my fingers from snapping together LEGO bricks. It was amazing to think that I would be able to actually build a robot out of LEGOs. LEGO robotics was a popular activity all around the world, and it spread to many countries, two being the U.S and Japan. My dad had said he found it extraordinary because it taught kids about structure, programming, and teamwork. The program was divided into two age groups, one would be
Dear Mr. Ward, I recently checked Schoolloop and I found out I have a 0 on the Lego Lab assignment that we had to do with a partner that was assigned on 8-29-14. I am positive that my partner (Jonae) and I completed it and turned it in during my second period class. I know you are a very busy person but whenever you have time I would really appreciate for you to look over and see what is going on with my grade. You can email me back addressing the issue or if you want, we can discuss this in person. Thank you and have a great Monday. Student Signature
The first few days were tough to me because joining a new group is always hard. Within time we became friends and integrated with each other thoroughly, which made us a great team. During my time with the team, we faced a lot of difficulties such as huge quantity of quizzes and tests compared to the time left to the competition. Time was hard to manage, but we succeeded after many attempts to do so. Sometimes we finish programming and building the robot before the expected date, other times we win the competition and our goals are not yet accomplished. We noticed our points of creativity. We discovered that most of us, including me, were builders rather than being programmers. For that, dentistry was my first choice, because it includes everything that interests
Overall, our group worked together perfectly. All of the members communicated any kind of ideas or suggestions openly throughout the process. If something could have been done differently to make the device more efficient or work in a different way, it was expressed without hesitation. Each member helped the other with anything from cutting paper or taping the shapes together.
I'm writing you because I heard last Thursday you'll be aunt again in a few months. I know you'll be too busy marking the exams, so if you need someone to take care of your nieces, please, think on me; I can make your position easier. Working as an au-pair in a different language is not easy to do, but I'm looking at other possibilities to improve my English (much better If I can earn some money with it!).
My interest for building model kits has lasted for 15 years, yet I can still remember the moment I built my first one like it was yesterday. I had just bought my first model kit and opened the box. My hands trembled as I placed each plastic piece together while reading the instructions. However, slowly my hands stopped shaking and my movements became more fluid as my mind steered into a clear and focused state. I stop feeling nervous and am soon overtaken by a calm joy as I work with my hands to create. Little, did I know this hobby would later become the spark that would ignite my passion for Dentistry.
The Lego Mindstorms series of kits contain software and hardware to create customizable, programmable robots. They include an intelligent brick computer that controls the system, a set of modular sensors and motors, and Lego parts from the Technic line to create the mechanical systems.
The Lego Company, was founded in 1916, by Ole Kirk Christiansen in Billund, Denmark. The company quickly expanded, producing double-digit sales. Then, with the development of social media Lego appeared to hit a brick wall when faced with the challenge of how to market their Lego Bricks on the social web. Jack McKee, a former social media practitioner at Lego, “was able to help change the culture within the organization, so they could use the social web to build relationships with customers, generate new product ideas by sharing propriety information, and better understand their customers.
There were several worktables in the space, with numerous engineering tools that I could not name crammed into boxes and placed on the surface. I chose the table where the task was designing a bike camera. Sitting down, I looked at my teammates awkwardly, not knowing where to start, and they looked back with the same embarrassment.
For informatics class, I worked with four other members to design a web-based product over the course of a quarter. My teammates were from very different
We all know the classic Legos bricks, but Lego has not always been this well-loved toy. Originally Lego was a carpentry business in 1932. It created wooden toys such as a wooden duck. It’s first construction toy was the Kirk’s Sandgame (Lego, 2012).
In this type of organization can be observed few characteristics of Weber’s theory such as a clear-cut division of labor, high level of specialization and the hierarchical authority applies to offices and positions of the organization.
Right in my first year, I got selected in the Robocon team of my college. It was a great opportunity for me, as Robocon is an International Robotics Competition held every year. There, I realized it was not just making a wireless robot or line follower robot that interested me, but the entire experience of being a part of the team and being able to contribute to its success, was what I thoroughly enjoyed. We tried taking the robotic experience to a different level, and for the first time, the first year students had organized a mega event in the inter-collegiate fest. This effort My contribution to the team was highly appreciated and acknowledged by all. This immensely boosted my confidence,
