Introduction
This essay will examine how to best prepare a contract administration plan. The contract administration plan will examine different methods used in preparing a plan. This essay will explain how important it is to have technical and other support of personnel, the importance of surveillance, and to determine what functions need to be delegated, identify qualified personnel as well as authorized, it is necessary for the Contracting officer to be represented in administering contract requirements. Contract administration should address the procedure needed to notify management or executive personnel regarding the need for the modifications and corrections. The documentations of the plan need to meet the requirement of the business, activity, and good business practice.
When contracting it is important to include a wide verity of full-time specialist who will represent the Contracting Officer, these include software specialists, property specialist, quality assurance representatives, and others. Sometimes it is necessary to appoint also some technical representatives for specific contracts know as contracting officer representative or technical representative of the contracting officer.
When it is time to notify the contractor of personnel authorized to represent the contracting officer in administering contract requirements, notices should be completed with name, position, authority in representing the contracting officer, and applicable contract clauses (Acquisition.gov, 1994).
Post award orientation, either by conference, letter or some other form of communication, should be the beginning of the actual process of contract administration. These forms of communication are helpful tool for the business. It is important to have a pre-meeting with a program and contracting officials present so that there is a clear understanding of everyone’s responsibilities and restrictions in
George Shepard: Mr. Shepard is listed as the Contract Administrator for Contract ID # JA-FSA-OD-002-15. During an interview with Mr. Shepard, he identified himself as a Policy Analyst for DHS FSA. He also serves as a Contract Administrator who supports the various FSA programs. As a Contract Administrator he is responsible for creating purchase orders for grants, among other tasks.

Responsible for administering contracts and monitoring contractor performance to ensure that services performed by the contractor are in accordance with the contract. This includes reviewing project plans, accepting formal deliverables such as Quality Assurance Plans, Project Management Plans, Risk Management Plans, Test Plans, and Training Plans. Review contractor invoices for accuracy and completeness, and monitor contract balances to ensure there are no contract overruns. I train and mentor FAC Level II CORs and Task Managers as I am FAC

Students are required to list and describe the skills necessary for contracting with clients and provide examples of how skills can be beneficial to negotiating contracts. A description and role of the contract sections is explained; in addition to the implications if parts of the contract is omitted. Furthermore, phases in drawing up a contract and choose a suitable contracting meeting setting will be introduced. In conclusion, as a consultant an explanation of negotiating contracts is discussed and important factors for a successful outcome will be describe and explained.
The contracts manager is part of the senior management team and provides support and guidance to the office based personnel and the PM. They will also form relationships with clients with a view to ensuring the client’s aspirations are delivered and securing future work.
