I believe Freyer is speaking to someone who is interested in a career involving music or video. His description is a story about the ways he used his keyboard to write music. He speaks fondly about his college instructor and describes, in detail, which lesson he used it for. Furthermore, the description of the keyboard on eBay is simplistic. I believe the audience of the author is someone who knows what they are looking for. They may have already researched the instrument and have made their decision to purchase one.
