Individual Project Part 1
In early 2014 ABC corporation acquired XYZ corporation. As a result of the acquisition the corporation nearly doubled their assets and more than tripled their personnel. Furthermore the corporation acquired a West coast base of operations to complement their East coast headquarters. Executive management, under the guidance of the Human Resource Development Department, has authorized the creation of a new employee orientation program. This program will be inclusive to all current and future employees. The greater purpose of the
Program planning is a process to achieve a particular goal and/or mission. Program planning is an organized process through which a set of coordinated activities or interventions is developed to address and facilitate change in some or all of the identified problems. Program evaluation provides useful information for improving the programs and the service delivery systems. Program evaluation is to improve the program planning, effectiveness, design, and efficiency. The two are different processes, but ideally they hold the same goals and/or mission. The evaluation process takes place after the planning of a
Issue that in my opinion would affect the evaluation of a domestic violence program would be lack of information on the victim and abuser. Another affect on evaluation would be is there a data base on domestic violence crime. Is the data assessable, is there a statistic rate what is the ratio of women, men, and children been victim of domestic violence. Other issue that could affect the planning of domestic violence is the long term affect of being a victim of domestic violence. According to (N.D), "[The long term effects of domestic violence have not begun to be fully documented. Battered women suffer physical and mental problems as a result of domestic violence. Battering is the single major cause of injury to women, more significant that auto accidents, rapes, or muggings. In fact, the emotional and psychological abuse inflicted by batterers may be more costly to treat in the short-run than physical injury. Many of the physical injuries sustained by women seem to cause medical difficulties as women grow older. Arthritis, hypertension and heart disease have been identified by battered women as directly caused or aggravated by domestic violence suffered early in their adult lives.
I have many reasons why I should be part of the pathway program. As a person I feel like I have a lot of potential and I will do anything in my power to be successful. Although procrastination and bad time management was something I struggle with my whole life and it really impacted me during high school. I never though I could feel so low and devastated as I moved to the next grade and knew I was a step closer to going to the real world it progressively got worse. But for some reason I always had some fight and desire to be more even though I thought the odds were against me in the classroom and on the football field.
As JROTC approaches its one hundredth year birthday, its purpose of “Motivating young people to become better citizens” has not changed; however, there are many aspects of it that changed and can be changed. The past showed where the program was built up, how it was built up and how it was back then. In the present, JROTC consist of how it was in the past and how it has improved and how it is compared to the past. The future will be when JROTC will keep building off of the past and the present which then turns into the past.
When SCFD7 examined their data in relation to frequent 911utilization this is what they found. In the six months prior to implementing the CRP program there were 2402 calls for service from 1642 patients. Of those 1642 patients, 40 of them met the criteria for calling 911 4 or more times with patients calling as many as 10 times in this six month period. These 40 patient generated 212 calls for service representing 8.83% of the call volume and 40 non emergent transports to the hospital totally $27,933.60 in transport fees and $63,360.00 in hospital ER fees. In the nine months from the implementation of the CRP program and the writing of this paper, SCFD7 had responded on 3914 calls for service from 2647 patients. Of those 2647 patients, 98 of them called 911 more than 4 times in this period with patients calling as many as 13 times. These 98 patients generated 529 calls for service representing 13.52% of the call volume and 202 non emergent transports to the hospital for $141,064.68 in transport fees and $319,846 in hospital ER fees.
The WISE Program is a valuable and exciting opportunity in which I can explore not only, the college experience, but also my strengths and weaknesses, and various career paths as well. Ever since I took a Biology class my freshman year, I knew that biology is something that I am interested in. The human body and all its different functions are fascinating to me and I really like learning about it. Another interest of mine is child care. I enjoy taking care of my younger cousins and watching them grow and develop. It's always fun to play with them or take them to the playground. Additionally, I take pleasure in being outdoors and I especially love watching sunsets. Some of my favorite activities are fishing, hiking in the woods, playing volleyball, and taking walks. Doing these activities with my friends and sisters makes the time spent even more enjoyable. My other interests are baking, hair-styling, and singing. One of my goals is to graduate from college with a nursing degree. Nursing is the perfect career for me because I get the opportunity to explore anatomy and biology and care for people, which I really enjoy doing. Depending on the circumstances and my interests, I plan to further my education after a bachelor's degree to become a specialized nurse or maybe even a doctor. I'm interested in offering medical aid
The roots of the U.S. Personnel Security Program can be traced back to the Civil Service Act of 1883 that required applicants for federal employment to possess the requisite character, reputation, trustworthiness, and fitness for employment. In 1912 the LaFollette Act established protection for federal employees from being fired from their jobs for arbitrary reasons and imposed a standard of “just cause” that would promote the “efficiency of the service,” a concept later applied to security clearance determinations. The Hatch Act of 1939 added a prohibition against anyone employed by the government from being a member of any organization that advocates overthrowing the U.S. Government.
There are many great aspects about the COMEA House. One of the best things about the program is that they are able to house many people, especially men, as this this is the greatest population of homeless individuals in Cheyenne. They also have a designated space for families. This is a great aspect of the COMEA House, as many mothers with children may feel that they do not have a safe place to go. However, COMEA House provides a safe place for them to stay, away from the general homeless population, to ensure extra comfort and safety. Not only is the COMEA House able to provide shelter to so many individuals, they are also able to feed a great number of people. Individuals do not have to be staying the COMEA House to get a meal there. Anyone can come and eat there, all they have to do is pass a breathalyzer test before entering the facility. Another great aspect of the COMEA House is that they work with each individual to get them moving toward independence and self-sufficiency. They also offer extended stays to individuals who are working toward independence, but may need a little more time and assistance in order to maintain successful living when they leave.
I am interested in teaching for the Breakthrough program to give back to the community and to advance my career as a future educator. Growing up in an inner-city neighborhood, there are a lot of materials, opportunities, and experiences you may miss out on. I believe I was fortunate enough to take advantage of some of these programs, such as upward bound college prep and the junior achievement program offered at my high school. Others were confused and indecisive on choosing appropriate programs for them. This unfortunately left many of my classmates behind or unprepared for the college or working world. I believe if my school would have offered a mentoring program the students would’ve had proper guidance on how to advance themselves. I would like to make sure I help send future college students off feeling confident and ready to
This health instructional plan has been developed from the Michigan’s Health Education Grade Level Content Expectations for second grade. The major strands and other standards will be addressed throughout the year to ensure that students are effectively taught about health issues. Nutrition and Physical Activity, Social and Emotional Health, Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drugs and Safety. This health education instructional plan relates to the students’ growth because it addresses health issues with age appropriate topics and materials. Students will learn the importance of eating a nutritious and balanced meal. They will also learn how to demonstrate safety. Also, emotional health is addressed. In Teaching Today’s Health, it states, “The concept that emotionally healthy people are in touch with their feelings and can express those feelings in a proper fashion” (Anspaugh & Ezell, 2004). Teaching emotional health helps students develop sound mental health. Drug awareness is addressed so that students understand the impact they have on lives and the body. Advocacy and goal setting are addressed so that students know that their actions and decisions affect their heath and the health of others.
The program that this student has designed and will test will not be in a “corporate” type building, it will be conducted within a classroom inside of a public school. This program will be centered on the idea in which both teachers and school administrators come together in helping to truly create a better future through their students, our future. In this classroom volunteers, teachers and therapists will meet to discuss the performance of children in that school. These volunteers would also help collect food and distribute this food to the children in need and their families. This classroom would be the base for educating both teachers and school administrators about healthy boundary crossings, such as when is it appropriate
I would like to attend TARGET because I like the objective to enable girls to achieve mastery in engineering and technology. In addition, I would love to learn about engineering and technology and the careers that come with them. Attending TARGET would allow me to get back to learning about engineering and technology. I would also like to attend this program to participate in hands-on activities, labs, and projects. Being able to attend TARGET would be an interesting experience
In this program I have learned many things such as being more prepared and managing my time wisely. In the beginning I was stressed because everything seem like it was too hard for me. It took some tears and some prayers to make me realize that college isn't really that hard. In EDU 1300 I had the chance to learn that in order for me to be successful I have to learn to study, EVERYDAY! I started studying more, and studying in a way that I will remember. Though I have had some ups and downs this program, I have learned how college will treat me and I have also learned that there is always help available when its
As part of operational workforce efficiency, XYZ Construction Inc. will provide additional skill sets training to its workforce. This can be in the form of cross-functional training where employees will get to learn other additional skill sets than the core requirements. Such arrangement will ensure higher level of efficiency among its workforce, while increasing company's capability to better meet project delivery timeline.
AX64 – We got this project around two years back and it happens to be one that required out of the box thinking. The major aim was to have a great color combination and along with unique design. Our team of experienced web designers came up with various innovative designs and finalized the one that is presently on the website. The designing had to be innovative, so lot of research was done to have a concept similar to disk imaging. Today, the design of AX64 is counted among the best web design that has been done.
