In 2080 in Omaha, Nebraska there was a farm in the middle of nowhere that grows corn. There was a brother and sister who lived on the farm, their names were Jason, and Taylor. They lived with their Grandpa John, and their Grandma Marry because their mom, and dad died in a car crash. Today they were going out to sell corn at the farmer's market to earn some money because they were low on money. While all that was happening, Taylor was sitting on her bed reading Oliver Twist which she was almost done with. When she was almost on her last page, the lights suddenly went out in her room. She looked over at her light switch. It looked the same as when she entered the room. Then she heard scratching noises on her door which terrified her really bad.
She walked over to the door to check it out. When she tried to open the door, but it looked as if she could not get out. So she ran back to her bed and put the covers over her head. Then she felt breathing on the blanket like something was right in front of her. She slowly took the blankets from her head. She looked around the room, but she saw that no one was there. So she slowly walked around her room, when something jumped at her through the window. She was scared to death. She thought to herself it could be a monster; but no it wasn't, it was her brother. Jason was laughing so hard, partly because he scared his sister and that she punched him. She yelled at him to get out of her room, so Jason ran to his room. A few seconds later he heard his Grandpa yell, quiet down up there. So he went downstairs to ask if he can watch tv downstairs with Grandma and Grandpa. They said yes, so they sat there most of the night watching tv and eating

I was inside before both of them, once they came inside Grandpa told me to go in my room. As I was waiting for Grandpa to come up stairs, I sat down and cried some more. Then Grandpa walked in to talk with me. He sat down on the bed beside me. He said “Jason, I know I should have told you this a long time ago. I think this is the right time to tell you that I was in the Army. I fought in the Vietnam war as a infantry man.”
I was surprised as to why he did not tell me this before. Right that second I thought I should punch him in the arm, but for some reason I did not punch him. He told me he was going to teach me everything he knows, so if they're gone, then I should know how to stay alive. Then he said lessons start tomorrow morning. When I woke up this morning I was a little excited to start lessons, but I was wrong. First, he said he was going to teach me how to fight. Then he made me run 20 laps around the farm without stopping, do pushups, and do situps etc…

Sunshine was pouring out from in between the buildings, casting shadows all around Ponyboy and the gang as they walked to Pony’s school. They were taking their time walking down the streets and for the first time they all were really seeing what was all around them. Memories were surfacing in their minds showing them what it all meant to them. With every step they took on the sidewalk they remembered a different memory as if they were walking down memory lane. Ponyboy didn’t think it was possible for him to be walking down this street for the last time as a high school student, but he had gone through the years with great grades that earned him many scholarships.
Gil Hooley had a popcorn stand that he hauled to the corner where the American Exchange Bank stands today. He sold popcorn every Saturday afternoon and evening. On Sunday it was common fun to pick the stand up and haul it two miles south of town and put it in the creek. Sometimes it could be found on top of Doc Hobb’s office. Gil never knew where he might find his stand on Monday!
Right now I’m in these trenches writing a heart-filled letter for y’all. But these unbearable conditions have been unsettling to me. Everytime I want to get away from the gruesome war, I think about you. All day and night, we had to be on the lookout. Planes from the sky makes us vulnerable for air attacks. All aside from all of those problems, the one main goal is to one day find my horse Joey. Maybe both of us will somehow meet me once again during or after the war. I’m very sorry to you guys if I don’t make it home alive, but I’m going to make a big promise, never in a day or night, will I forget about you guys.

Swords crashed against shields like a field of doors slamming shut in the wind. Arrows whistled through the air; a murder of tiny crows swarming above us vulnerable soldiers. The grunts of men impaled by hafts and sliced open by steel join the cacophony of a battle raging into dusk. Wet warmness would splash across me in response to the dying cries of my comrades as one after another of those we battle would push our shields apart and break the line. The ground was wet and sloppy, dried earth had been turned to slush by a rain that did not fall from the sky. The ground was rendered difficult to manoeuvre through, encumbered by the lifeless figures of soldiers now without the allegiance that lead them to a face in the dirt.
When they had all the cattle about 1,200 they head out on a long trip. The cattle drive was going as planned getting about 10-15 miles a day to get to a farm where they would get money for bringing the cattle. But two days in too the cattle drive there was a storm that started just with rain but started getting worse. It was so bad that the lighting and thunder made the cattle turn into a stamped. The cowboys tried to calm the cattle and keep them in a group it just wasn't working. When the storm was over they noticed that they had been missing 50 cows this was the worse thing they could ever encounter on the drive. So before going any further the 5 cowboys split up why one stays to watch the cattle. The four cowboys all came back that night with just 34 of the cows. The cowboys head on trying to find the cows again and still found nothing but in the distance there was a cliff leading to a valley. When they arrived to the valley to see where the cows were they saw nothing but 3 dead cows on the ground of that valley. When they went on there way again they saw nothing but flat land and the rest of their cattle this made the cowboys really happy that they could still get most of their cattle drive there safely. When they got to the farm the farmer gave them their money were they split between the 5 of them. Then they go to back home to see there children

Katrina returns home from Los Angeles to find a letter waiting for her from her brother. The letter causes Katrina to remember a time when her and her brother were small children. They lived on a farm that had an old barn with a third loft. There was a ladder that went from the floor all the way to that third loft, but it was old and the children had been warned not to play on it. One afternoon while their parents were gone, they began to play a game they had played dozens of times before. Larry and Katrina would climb to the top of the third loft and then jump down into the hay bin. Katrina went first, then Larry. Over and over they climbed and jumped.
A dark and smoky gray night fell over the green grass. An old lamp at the end of an overused power cord of a wooden pole was swinging in the wind. It lit up the surroundings of the construction and printed my moving shadow on the wall behind me. In the half-light of dusk, I walked out of the ruins that minimally protected me from the wrath of the RPF and showed my face to a fire-breathing dragon. I walked into a thick and wet mist that linked up with the wind to whisper ghostly oohs in my ears. I was scared and my legs trembled. Under the dim light, I could not see anything. The smoking of the war clouded the roof of the region and the cold breeze spread an odor of blood and brought the moans of dying people. The dense haze covering my vision
She finally drifted off to sleep. She woke with a startle, then when she opened her eyes there was a bunch of monsters at the door. So she unlocked the door and let them in. They all demanded a room she told them all my rooms were full they started to flake away. She screamed “stop”they all
